My experience with the Farjo clinic.

I had a hair transplant last April performed by Dr Bessam Farjo of the Farjo medical centre in Manchester.

I have been suffering hair loss for quite some years, but by stabilising it with meds over the last few years i thought it was finely time to go for a ht.Iam in my forties and have been unhappy with my hair for some time now.

I did over a year of research contemplating clinics in the USA and Turkey.I decided to stay here in the uk and came to the conclusion that Dr Farjo was the man for me.After meeting the liaison manager Mick a very likable easy going guy and Dr Farjo i knew i had made the right decision. They were very informative proffessional and not salesman like at all which i liked.

So ht day 6th of April i was at the Farjo clinic after having a nice relaxing night in a hotel close to the clinic[which they arranged for me].I met Dr Farjo and was told what woul happen that day,he checked my BP then gave me a mild sedative to relax me.I was then ushered into the surgery room which was immaculately clean and state of the art.Dr Farjo drew my hairline and showed me where he was going to put the grafts, crown vertex and temples.after that it was time to move the donor strip,he injected the area with anaesthetic a few needle pricks but painless i must say.He begain to remove the strip which i never felt a thing and then stapled me up.It was time to make the incisions for the grafts to be planted [again no pain].Then came the planting of the grafts which was done by Nilofer Farjo and there team.[so basically your getting two transplant surgeons for the price of one].

2087 grafts were placed which was more than the 1700 i paid for.

301 1 hair

1497 2 hair

286 3-4 hair.

All the medical staff were attentive all the way through the procedure offering me drinks snacks and a nice lunch and a choice of dvds to watch.Overall the procedure was nice and relaxing.

The whole day i felt cared for in positive hands of people who know what they are doing putting there patients first.
I would recommend anyone looking into a ht to consider the Farjo clinic.

Iam now nine and a half months and and the hair is comming in really nice now and will continue to thicken for the months ahead. The one thing i can tell you is i have the hair greed bug now! so i think i will be back to the Farjo clinic for a second pass, time will tell.

Hi all. Just registered here and have just undergone an incredible hair restoration procedure at the Farjo Clinic in Manchester UK. I'll post details soon but in the meantime it's great to read don1966's experience. Sounds very familiar! Well done fella.

Wow,

I continually ask patients to let everyone know about how things were with us and two come along at once.To be fair though Don has posted on another forum and put pictures.Doctor Who is a new patient and has been very open to people about his recent hair transplant.

Hopefully they will continue to document his progress over the next 12-18 months.
