Its now 9 months since the HT. I prefer to provide photo updates every 3 months so that its easier to track the progress which is the reason for lack of updates.
I think that there is no more new hairs and its pretty much at its finally stage for this particular transplant. I will however provide more photos at 12 months though.
I had a haircut last week and what is different about this haircut is that I only had the sides and back cut, and left the top to grow. The top of my head has about 12 weeks growth, the longest I have left it for many, many years.
I would say that the HT is at about 70% of my expectations. I was hoping for it to be much thicker and its not, so that is disappointing. Looking at the positives, its much better than before I had the transplant. So I am not sorry about having it done at Cosmedica, but I wouldn't use them again due to lack of communication and language barrier. I feel that they were a good start to my journey because they are so cheap.
I am going to have another HT in about 12 months time, but it will be somewhere else and very likely be much more expensive than Cosmedica. The reason being is that I need to sit down with the Dr and discuss my options like how much hair to transplant and how much hair can be taken from the donor area. Its impossible to have that sort of discussion with Cosmedica.
These photos show my hair with gel, so it looks a bit wet. Also, keep in mind that if my hair was brown or black I am sure it would look much thicker.
The weird thing is that I am still new to trying to style my hair and still trying to get a hairstyle that suites me with the amount of hair I have got.

Oh and by the way, what is up with people rating these threads with one and two stars? I mean, common guys, giving various people on this forum a poor or horrible rating is ridiculous and doesn't do much for coming back to keep updating.

Thanks for the update Jimmie! It would be great if you could show comparisons of before and after without gel or wet hair! Do you use any mess etc what is your regime?

It definitely looks better than where you started. Hopefully you have enough donor left to get to your goal.
I always thought the rating was the OPs opinion of the clinic they attended. Interesting. We don't have permission to rate threads so I guess the higher ups must be doing it..

Hi Jimmie, Thank you for sharing your HT experience. i am booked in with Cosmedica this coming January and guys like you here on this forum have really put me at ease at what i can expect. I am very very nervous about this and these updates from guys like yourself really help me. I think your hair looks brilliant from where you started out and if my results are as good as yours i will be very pleased. i hope you continue to post updates because you are helping me and im sure others too to go ahead and get a HT. Thanks and i hope to read more from you soon

It would be great to see what your hair looks like now. As with all hair transplants, you need to wait until a year and a half to get the full and final results. So it would be amazing to see what the difference is between now and when you last took a picture.

It is generally takes unto 8 months to show complete results. Rest doctor may consult better on basis of individual condition.
