My Hair transplant surgery FUT post-op (from day1 to 3 months after surgery)

I remember when I started to loose my hair at my early 26 and how self-conscious it made me and stressful as well...now I am 34 and I have decided to make a FUT hair transplant surgery.
The surgery itself was not painful at all, but I had many doubts if I was taking the right choice or not...cost very high 7000$ just for the front area (I will share with you my pictures and a link to my video after 3 months surgery).

When I started to take pictures after my hair transplant surgery FUT, it was just for myself to see the progression and how successful or disappointing the results are going to be. I don't know yet for now, but I hope it'll be up to my expectations. This surgery cost me 7000$.

Yeah! a lot of money but I wanted to do it since so many years. So I made it after a lot of reflection but I am glad I've done it today regardless the results rather than to live the rest of my life regretting of not having done it earlier.

The day one right after the surgery I had to sleep in the sofa with a slope of 45% and a special U pillow around the neck so my stitched donor area won't be in friction. It was not easy, because I had to sleep sitting that way for the next 7 to 10 days... I had some blood leak because the sides stitches got open a bit, but thankfully I went to see the doctor the day after and he fixed it. I can tell you, It was really depressing feeling, seeing your face that way, and wondering if it's going to be worst or better.

I had many questions in my entourage and friends who wanted to see the progression in video so I made one (from day1 to 3 months) to show to whom want to do the move but are hesitating, hopefully this would be useful for you or them.

Don't forget guys, the most important thing / person in life is yourself! so take care of yourself first, create your own happiness and live your dreams :)

That scar doesn't seem very good. The hairs at the front look like they're going every direction but they may work themselves out as they mature.

Not sure why they didn't clean up all the dried blood before taking the pictures.

Hopefully someone more knowledgable can take a look and comment.

Thanks for the feedbacl ziggs11, very much appreciated. If there is anyone else who can provide feedback your are welcome.
They tried to clean it up but they applied a special spay product post-op that is supposed to make the transplanted grafts stick in place and don't move...so the remaining blood stick along the grafts for a week or so...But as long as my grafts were in place I didn't really care... Besides, I was not convinced neither by the quality of the surgery vs the costly price 7000$, and I wish if I have done a FUE transplantation instead.Without talking about the scar...Day 1 during the night, the donor area bleeding which made the scar healing from outside instead inside... it was a real nightmare, however I assume they are cases worst than mine, and cross fingers that this transplantation gives a minimum of satisfactory results.I will keep you updated in the 6th month with my new video...

4 awesome repairs with SMG
Mmmm i have to agree with Ziggs really dude, i hope it turns out ok for your sake. It seems like there is going to be a gap from your side hair to the transplanted hair on top soon as your hair looks to be thinning in that area....i hope its just the pictures or you could end up with just an island of hair uptop;;D.
Are you on Meds?
The scar area is going to need some sort of work in the future if you ever want to wear your hair short dude.
Sorry to sound negative and i truly hope it looks amazing when its all grown in but to be honest it doesn't look great at the minute.

The recipient placement is shocking, very medieval, and the scar.....it's looks bad, lets face it no one would be happy with that.

The Dr who did this should be struck off.

Hey guys,

it seems from another website that the OP was not happy with the outcome overall:

The clinic I have chosen was PAI in south shore of Montreal. Overall, the professionalism and the quality of the service were fairly good 8/10. I am satisfied with the surgeon's work: Dr. Michel Prévot (he is not the owner, he has just a contract renewable with the owner of that franchise), however before meeting with him, I met with a "sales" person who convinced me to choose their clinic instead other clinics, and believe me the price asked in the beginning was $12000+taxes for the FUT! Basically I was sold the idea that they can restore my whole scalp in one only surgery which makes them so special in the market. Naive I was, as I didn't make my home work correctly and I was in a kind of rush, I didn't visit other clinics to compare the techniques available and the price related. Now I really regret having chosen PAI in the south shore of Montreal, because what was finally covered was only the front line and not the whole scalp as promised, besides, the scar I have remains big and visible and I need a FUE to cover it. Now I am planning to do a FUE but after 12 months from the first surgery and with another clinic. I don't recommend PAI Montreal / south shore to anyone, they will just take your money with a mediocre result. Aim rather FUE with another clinic...
