This is the second Neograft that I know of, to pop up very close to my home. The other is a place called Allure Medical Spa, who advertise heavily on TV about varicose veins! To my knowledge, neither of these places have ever done hair transplants. As transplant veterans know, the Doctor must also have skill and artistry to complete a successful transplant. I do not believe any reputable Hair Transplant Surgeon would have attempted to add any more hair to the man featured in the story. He looks to be a NW 6 or 7, with several previous scars, and no hair to show for past surgeries. I'm not against the use of these robotic devices in the right hands, but in the hands of unskilled or inexperienced Doctors, it could lead to some very poor results.

I would say a robotic device is better than a manual punch in an unskilled hand. But in a skilled hand I believe a hand punch is far superior to anything else offered and I say through my own experience along with the experience of many others I have seen and spoken to over the years.

Here is the thing. We are all entitled to have the absolute best when it comes to having a medical procedure or at least be given that information and be able to decide for ourselves. If we decide for a 2[sup]nd[/sup] rate option that at least we go in there knowing this is what we have chosen. For me to believe that anyone that works in the hair transplant industry would settle for a 2[sup]nd[/sup] rate option when it comes to medical procedures for themselves or their loved ones would be very hard to believe.


In my opinion anyone who has chosen a 2nd rate option has not been fully informed.

If someone that works in the hair transplant industry would willingly choose a 2nd rate option when it comes to surgery for either themselves or a family member please step forward and explain your logic to me as I have a very hard time wrapping my mind around it.

I €™m sure if forums were available 20 years ago we would have been reading €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ I €™m okay with plugs, mini/micrografting and hairlifts etc as long as it is in the right hands. Meanwhile Bobby Limmer is doing state of the art FUT work but nobody hears about it because the rest are making money performing the 2[sup]nd[/sup] rate procedures.

Does the money mean that much that they are okay with screwing up some young guy €™s life?

The forums are a great way to help get the message out there but a bigger platform is needed and that is only a matter of time.

Hey Bullitnut, The wedding isn't until this September. I took the time to look up the Doctor featured in the story and went to his clinic's website. There is no indication that he ever did hair transplants and the neograft was a added service to the many cosmetic procedures for men and women. Extracting the grafts is just part of the procedure. Having a plan for future loss, donor conservation and the actual graft placement are others. Most of the grafts placed in my crown by Chambers were placed so that they grew straight up and in many different directions.

Thats one of the main problems with inexperienced clinics and doctors, hairs growing in unatural directions just looks awful.
