New here, looking for advice please

Hi all

Im looking into how much id have to spend on a transplant. Id never minded being bald that much but now it seems that my hair loss is going a little further down the sides of my head and my crown is starting to thin, to me thats the classic egg head that i really dont like.

Ive looked at the norwood scale but i dont seem to fit any of them accurately, i seem to be like 4a but further receded backwards. So between 4a and 5a but not as far down the back of the head.

Im thinking of a transplant in Turkey but dont even know how many grafts? or implants? id need. Is a graft just a single hair ir can a graft be multiple hairs in 1 incision?

I really dont know who to trust, Ozlem Bicer seems to get mentioned a lot, who else do you recommend?

I dont reccomend a hair transplant as I think u will just be chasing for more hair for rest of your life and u could end up looking worse off
U have alot of baldness
Meds or topical products wont work aswell I don't think
What are u looking for regards results from a hair transplant

thanks mate, i wouldnt be trying meds on that amount of hair loss, pointless. Id like to get some coverage on the top, not to be completely covered again, i actualy think that hair can look ok when youre starting to recede from the front. its the top part being covered that bothers me most that id like to tackle

Also ur baldness goes quite far back behind towards the back of ur head
This could be a issue for your donar supply as u could have that implanted at the front but it could not grow at all

the crown is about 3/4 gone i think, i need a pic from the back. Its hard to tell properly but id have thought that as long as the donor area is ok, (i dont know how much they need) that ive havent got loads more hair to lose, apart form doen the sides a bit more but then again i dont know how far down the sides it will go

Better pics would help I think could you post some from various angles so the clinics and regular posters can get a better idea of your current situation as it's hard to tell with the pictures posted but it does look like your loss is more on the advanced side....better pics would help though dude.

thanks mate, i cant imagine ill get anything a lot better than that, but my donor area is fine i think. As i said earlier, i actually like the "early receded " look, something like Jimmy Carrs hairline would be fine

yeh ill wait til my daughter can take some for me, it doesnt help that im grey coz you just cant see half of it coz of that. Im 50 so i know im not going to get flowing locks

If you have the donor you could achieve a thin hairline with a bit coverage behind. This will take the edge off the bald look, frame your face and make you feel good.
If you can achieve this, I think you’ll be happy.

cheers mate, any idea how many grafts id be needing? just so i can try and work a price out with some clinics

It´s going to come down if you have enough good hair around the back and sides. Can you get someone to take a picture of the back of your head?. If you have enough hair I would say your hairline is going to be really important. Because you won´t get much behind it so it´s got to be in the right place. You need to look for a clinic with experience in similar cases. Look for someone well established with years of experience who can show you similar results with good hair growth. You can get an idea if you like it or not.

the front doesnt look too bad to be honest, he wasnt bothered about the crown i take it? i was thinking id need 4-5000 grafts though- but thats just a guess. Ill ask my daughter to take some pics tonight

That´s a really good example , nice one Bully. You can get a good idea. The hairline is well positioned for the coverage. Great work by a well established doctor, you can´t copy the years of experience.
