We are conducting a clinical research study of a growth factor to treat male pattern hair loss and are in need of participants.

Men qualifying for the study receive investigational treatment without cost and are paid to participate. If you would like more information, please contact Emily at 760 203-3836 or email her at [email protected].

Hello Stacy.
Could you elaborate a bit more on what type of treatment the study involves?
Thanks Bm.

Yes. The study involves injection of a growth factor into the vertex and bifrontal recession areas of the scalp. The injections are very superficial and subjects to date have not complained of significant pain. There are overall photographs and macrophotography (extreme close up) of the treatment areas. The photographs are then digitally analyzed and the hairs counted to show the increase in hair counts. Men who wish to participate will have routine laboratory tests for overall health and have pinpoint tattoos placed to help find the treatment areas at follow up visits. There are three injection sessions, 6 weeks apart and a total of 7 visits to the clinic. Patients are paid $75 for each completed visit. They must be between the ages of 25 and 55 to participate and have N-H scores between 3 and 5. If they are interested and/or to find out if they might qualify, they can call Emily at 760 203-3836 to find out more or set up an appointment.

Thanks,

Stacy Smith, MD

The study we are discussing here is NOT for alopecia areata but it IS for male pattern hair loss. They are two totally different conditions. If you have male pattern balding, we are interested in hearing from you.

Thanks,

Hair research takes time. The study lasts 24 weeks AFTER everyone is enrolled. We will reach back to you after the study is completed. The sooner we enroll all our subjects, the sooner the data will be available and it is a great opportunity if you do have hair loss. Give Emily a call - 760 203-3836.

Thanks,

Stacy Smith, MD

We still need participants but the study will close enrollment in less than 2 weeks. If you might be interested, give Emily a call at 760 203-3836 or email her at [email protected].

Thanks,
