Photos without faces

I am writing about a subject that I realize will get many people to not agree on but here goes. I think one should post results with a full face to show the true image of the results. Even if you block out the eyes it gives a better perspective of the outcome vs just a forehead or overhead shot. I think there should be no shame because people have had a hair transplant. In fact I see people who have had sex changes that are more willing to be in the open than Hair transplant patients. Never understood this. It is not that big of a deal. I have many friends who do not even know these sites exist as they are so busy with their everyday lives. Without a face you only see certain angles and not a true to life picture. You cannot also judge it correctly as you cannot see the framing of the face. I will continue to update my progress with full face photos. I am very happy so far with my progress so to me this is only fair to others to see a full image not just angle shots. They do not give the full idea of what a Hair transplant is. This is just my honest opinion on the subject. Feel free to debate.

Hmmm that's a good question and your point is really worth considering. I will have to give it some thought.

It just may give people a more realistic idea of the picture. Again Blocking out the eyes is ok too. I know Topcat Understands this business very well. It is hard to tell with some of those "Wow" pictures if only one or two angle shots are taken. Just trying to help the newbies understand what it is all about.

I posted on this topic today... But for some reason it was deleted... or the entire topic was deleted. Whatever the case is... I agree that it would seem to be a better way to post results with a full on picture of a face that is not "fudged or blocked out" which would provide a full on view... thus providing a fully framed face and at different angles.

However given your argument that there are more people who have had a sex change, are MORE willing to post more of their experiences online than a hair transplant person... is not really in the same league.

And I am sure Topcat would agree.

Not to knock you Diamond8... and just for pure arguments sake... sometime posters just want to remain anonymous. For whatever the reason is. Ya I agree with you... but your kind of a newbie for even saying this.

I hope you keep this thread going for further argument and discussion for the newbies.

I understand that some posters are just not comfortable & want anonymity. But me a newbie, I go back to 1986 as to having Hair Transplants. Perhaps I have been so through so much that a photo is just not a big deal to me. I am glad though you understand my point.

You raise some good points diamond8 but as others have said, some people are more comfortable having their face hidden away.

I will tell you what bothers me most about posting my full face photo and I think many others in the same shoes of being a repair patient would agree. Even though I was fully taken advantage of in my youth and I should not feel guilty or ashamed, the fact is I am still ashamed that I let this happen to me. I feel like I have sucker stamped on my head.

Of course I know much better now and it would be very unlikely for anything remotely similar to happen again anywhere in my life as it does jade a person making them much more cautious. But as I have stated in the past it did make me wake up to what happens in the medical profession. I see people my own age that believe everything their doctor tells them. They are on all types of medications and having all types of unnecessary surgeries. The fact that my views in general are simply the opposite of many of my friends and family is very evident to me.

I see too many marching in lock step and believing what the so called authorities are telling them.

Well it certainly was a learning experience and I feel very bad that the medical profession lets these so called Doctors get away with what they did. The fact that someone can disfigure somebody and just walk away makes me sick. I too am very wary of Doctors not only in this field but all practices of medicine. I am fortunate to have good ones here and they do not believe in overly prescribing medication. I will keep everyone updated most likely in Late August I will get some updated pics as that will almost be 1 year after my last session. I had the PRP treatment and my hair is actually thicker. The first compliment I had just two days ago and a gal that I have known for several years said "Wow this is the best your hair has ever looked. I can't Believe it." It does make you feel good when you are complimented on. It has been so long that I forgot what it feels like. lol.. Hair Transplants are not a cure by any means but a very good option if done correctly. Sadly the scars not only on the scalp but emotionally go very deep. You can't loose all of your youth and go back. But it is time for me to move forward and try to stop reliving those bad years. I do well for the most part but of course sometimes it does come back and it is again sad that a Doctor can get away with the things they do.
