Post FUE First wash

Had my FUE operation today ( thread following progress to follow). Seeing lots of conflicting information when you can first wash your head. My surgeon recommend 7 days but I see lots of people wash there head after 4 days.

Just wondering why there is so much conflicting information on this and are the grafts secure at 4 days?

Numerous clinics will wash the patients head the day after surgery and advise them to continue washing once a day thereafter. Post-op these patient heads look clean with little crusting. The post-op spraying aids the recovery process.

Clinics that suggest waiting 7 days or longer are being overly cautious. You should however follow the aftercare instructions provided by your clinic.

It takes approximately 4 - 5 days for the implanted follicles to be securely anchored. They are vulnerable for the first few days and can be dislodged if your head is bumped, scratched, or similar accidental scenarios.

Thanks for the reply Techno 1. Is interesting to see the different approach by many different clinics towards the same issues FUE patients face. Wouldn't washing so soon after you FUE dislodge the grafts? As you said I have seen videos of clinics washing patients heads the day after a procedure.

Like you said I will follow my surgeons instructions to avoid any complications, was just curious regarding the subject.
