Hi All

I am just recently married all of 8 weeks and not that it matters just yet but i suspect the next step will be to start a family sometime in the near future.

I have been on Proscar for the past 18 months and was wondering should i discontinue in the case of above and for how long prior should i discontinue to be on the safe side to insure there should be no harmful effects of the drug?

Imo there is no need to stop using it,i fathered my son after i had been on it for a number of years.

No problem, i know of a few people who`ve had kids while taking it,they are all healthy as is my own child who is six now.
