This proves that standards in HT world are so low.

No surprise SMP is booming

If you replace what probably was an area that had 50,000 hairs with 2000 that would represent 4% of the original density. If you then add in the fact that the caliber of chest hair is probably half that of scalp hair in most cases it would bring down the density to 2%.

What exactly would have expected if I told you we could dust the area and achieve 2% of the original density. It than would come down to a personal choice.

Does the doctor getting any credit for showing the result? And what does that say about him?

From what I have seen so far you are better off shaving you head with this much hair loss or if one is happy with this type of result than go for it. Personally I think the tattoo thing looks bizarre.

Standards are high but you will always get clinics/doctors who aren't up to scratch, this is why research is vital.
I can make some YouTube videos claiming to be the best of the best and some unfortunate person may fall for it.

It's by no means a bad result, doesn't look unnatural, but maybe not much point in doing it.

Topcat is right though, a lot of this SMP stuff looks bizarre.

Wow 50,000 is wat that area is, an theres me thinking the maximum ill need even if i lose all the top wen im older is about 7,000, even thats not gonna look very good if the areas that big,

I agree with you he cant expect it to look good with only havin 2000 grafts on an area like that but surely if he had say 5,000 by a good sergeon it should look amazing

Well I'm sure I'm overestimating the numbers but better to overestimate on the safe side.

The average head of hair has approximately 100,000 hairs. This patient seems to have lost 50% of it approximately which would be 50,000 hairs but probably less.

That's why it's probably better to work it out on paper as the numbers have to add up. You have to make choices sometimes, density or coverage or some combination. In my opinion it's always good to leave the crown bald until you are really sure.
