Hello. Hope everything is good, do you recommended any HT doctors in NY,NJ area. Im going through my consults, SMG,Dr.Cooley n Dr.Konior, since im from nj ,i wondered if there is any HT doctor in my area, to consult with,thanks for reading.

Hey SBT, thanks for the question. I hope all is well with you, too.


I think the more accurate question to ask is, whether or not there is a doctor in the NY/NJ area I'd consider for myself, and the answer at this time is "no". I've had three clinics approach me about getting on board. The first, I politely declined as I have no interest in being associated with them in any way. The second and third, talks didn't go far after they learned what is required in order for me to put their profiles on my website.

If someone ever does come on board in that area, you'll see their profile on my website and their dedicated playlist on my Youtube channel.

Thanks for the response joe, i respect your opinion, you seen it all and have a ton of knowledge n experience in this field.How long should someone stay after procedure before traveling home .I was thinking after grafts are secure n any swelling is gone, this way you can get your hair washed at clinic,that would be around 5 days, i think .

I used to tell patients to leave the next day or wait one full week, nothing in between. If you get swelling it will start on day two and consider to it's peak on day three or four and be gone by day six or seven. You don't want to fly looking like you were on the losing end of a bad fight. Getting your hair washed is usually just an issue of being gentle and many clinics don't want your scalp washed the first two days anyway.


It is nice sometimes though to be able to just have the clinic look after you and if you're in a place that is touristy, or interesting in any way, just spend the week exploring every day after your hair wash.
