Question on cortisone

Question with regard cortisone? I recently was given cortisone by a dermatoligist for a skin rash eritima heritome or something anyway I couldn't believe the healing rate of my skin it was like as if it was healing before my eyes. I will have half the tablets left and I am due to get a hair transplant in 4 weeks today. My question to any experts is will taking the same dosage prescribed for the above condition do any harm to help heal the hair transplant? Obviously weaning of the medication in the same manner I was descirbed.
Many thanks

I would not use it on newly transplanted grafts as its not designed for that but you could check with your Ht doctor what his thoughts are as he may be ok with it.

I agree with BM, the cortisone isn't intended for healing. Skin irritations and rashes are not the same as "cuts" on the skin. Definitely don't put cortisone you top of the newly transplanted grafts. Check with your ht physician before you go outside their post op instructions. Best of luck!

When you say cortisone are you referring to the cream or the oral type? I agree with Janna and BM definitely don't put it in the newly transplanted grafts dude......my son uses it for a recurring irritable skin condition and it's strong stuff to be putting on skin that's been cut. Can't really see how beneficial it could be orally either to be honest but I see where your coming from. I would stick to the doctors aftercare proctocol and check with them first if you plan on doing anything different as Janna suggests because they know what's best following a procedure.
Who is doing the HT by the way, would love to follow it on here.
