Seborrheic dermatitis

This little ailment has joined my epic journey of hair loss for a good twenty years. It often flairs up when I'm shedding.
Recently it has really got the better of me.
I've gone through T-GEL (seems to make it worse), Nizoral (again worse) and last night tried Oilatum. This is a lotion I gave to my son as a baby when he had eczema. I'm actually getting some relief from it. In fact they do a shampoo version too, which I have purchased from Amazon. So I'm hoping this will help.
But rather than treating the symptoms, is it possible to get rid of it once and for all?

Regards

Dear Purist,

seborrheic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory dermatose of skin scalp, with an unknown origin and ethiology,so therapy is a problem. You have to be under treatment by a specialist for a long period of time. Shampoo ketoconazole 2% is a good option (3 times per week).

I have a small amount of SD either side of my nose. I'm going to seek out an allergy test as I've heard there could be a dietary link.

Yes dietary links are fairly common with SD, some sufferers find alcohol to be responsible for their flare ups.

4 awesome repairs with SMG
The best shampoo for this in my eyes was polytar af but it has been discontinued*nl
Why someone doesnt make another shampoo very similar is beyond me because it had some really good revues.
