Sleeping position after Hair Transplant

Another question guys: what is the best position to sleep for the first few days after surgery? I know it will be uncomfortable during this period but ultimately don't want any of my newly transplanted hair to get damaged while I sleep. Would it be better to sleep upright on an armchair so I won't roll over? Or maybe stack the pillows up on the bed surrounding my sides and back to prevent a roll on my side?
Few last minute jitters ;)

Hi Crudance

I slept upright with a pillow behind my neck to stop the back of my head rubbing on anything....

After a couple of nights I slept on my front with pillows placed in the most comfortable way I could that did not put pressure on the donor stitches..

I think you will find what works for you.... the awkward bit is the donor area as people don't tend to sleep on the top of their heads :)

You will be fine mate

Hi Crudance,
It's a little easier sleeping with Fue IMO, you will be ok just propping your pillows up so you sleep on an elevated angle.

I slept on a 45 degree angle for the first few days, thereafter I slept normal with no issues.

Sleep insemi-upright position, support your head with 2 or 3 pillows for the first few days.

you should not lie flat because it may increase swelling. definitely use some pillows.

I would sleep in the chair for a couple of days just to be on the safe side to prevent graft loss :)
