Tonights episode features someone whom has had SMP. Non UK viewers you may be able to see this on Channel 4 website.

This only appeared briefly for about 4-5minutes. A man about 30years old approximately NW4, crown intact but recession and lost of frontal zone undertook SMP at an unnamed Clinic.
It showed how the Tattoo ink was applied to the head, however although the patient looked happy with the initial result from the first session. The programme did not show what his new tattooed hair looked like close up.
The programme did mention that this was the first of three treatments, but it did not follow up those 2 other treatments.
Thats a shame! As it leads to more questions than answers. On a positive note his hairline design appeared ok. But the programme did not show a clear close up of the finished article after the first treatment.
The guy who was doing the SMP, stated that he has had the procedure done himself. That was quite clear, his hairline design was so far forward it looked totally unnatural. If you are planning on having SMP dont have your dots put further forward than where your original hairline was once located. Have it further back, with some temple recession.

I looked for this on the website with no luck. Typical though of a tv show not following up on important issues.

Absolutely. I naturally always suspect the worst when that happens. You have 3 options-
Was the patient sodelighted with his final result that he no longer wanted to be part of the programme.
Was the final result below expectations.
Did C4 consider the follow ups unworthy of tv time.
A big red flag though!

I tried to find it too the other day but didn t see it listed.
I agree when someone does not return it is a giant red flag. Lights and buzzers should be going off in one s head BEWARE
The argument that another satisfied customer has moved on with his life doesn t fly much anymore. It s was almost repeated by many in the industry like a mantra as a form of manipulation in many ways. It s also red flag when someone has never posted on a forum then all of a sudden appears with look at my result. Dr Joe Blow ¦ ¦ ¦..let me tell you the experience was fantastic.
Is it possible when that happens it's a genuine patient...........yes maybe...........but one does have to consider it odd.

If you do a google search "bodyshockers smp" then within the search results you should find some more info.
There is a few more Pics of the guy in question. However note no good close ups in bright lights.
You do have the photo of him with the attractive girl showing off his new tattooed hair though.
Personally, from reading many forums. In my opinion this SMP only looks realistic when the patient has existing hair. Once you go beyond a NW4, it is going to become very difficult to hide from others. Thats great if you dont mind being open about your treatment.
Matt from Headstrong in a recent thread mentioned the FUE/SMP combination. Maybe this is the option for those whom want to hide their treatment. It is double the risk but there could well be something in a 70/30 FUE/SMP approach.

I think when it comes to taking video and/or presenting photos many think that the public is rather dumb and they can get away with just enough and they are probably correct otherwise they would not do it. Those that really want to prove a point do it through doing just the opposite..........big.........bold and in your face photos and video. Well lite, close up and often HD..............why hide a truly great result that often costs a substantial amount of money and a substantial amount of effort on the part of the clinic behind a 10 cent photo.
Or sometimes to use distraction with the a shiny car or hot chick obviously much of it works.

This is the guy that had it done, there's a few shots from the outside. For the record, if you're having SMP done and you're in the UK - HIS and Skalp are the only two companies (in my opinion) that are worth going to.
