Hi. Is it normal to still have have stubbly implanted hair that have not grown or fallen out 6 weeks post op? I would say 20-30% of my transplanted hairs are like this.

They might grow or they could be stalled hairs. Give it a few more weeks of massaging them in the shower to see if the shed, if not, try to see your doctor who will remove them if they are stalled.

Hi thanks. Yeah it'll have to be my GP doctor as I'll not see the DHI surgeon again if they are stalled hairs.

I'm sure if you give DHI a call they will accommodate you if you have any concerns.

Just be sure to not baby these grafts too much because the hair shafts (the part that sheds) could be separated from the follicle but not knocked out yet. This typically comes from patients being too careful when washing so at six weeks you can wash just as vigorously as if you hadn't had any work at all.

Thanks Joe. Yeah im not holding back when i wash my hair at all now but these stubbly hairs just wont shift. Have to admit i actually asked my wife to see if she could remove a few with her tweezers. She did and they came out with out force, folicle or pain. I mean I felt absolutely nothing when she removed them. They are defo dead grafts.

They aren`t dead grafts. The grafts are safely under your skin, it's just the old hair shaft that she has removed.

What sort of shampoo would you recommend using post opp? Any specific ones to avoid or?

It depends on how much you want to spend on shampoo. I used baby shampoo for a few weeks with no problems.
