Stress on Male Pattern Baldness Areas

I had a hair transplant about 6 months ago and was having really positive results. This past month and half I went through a very stressful time and I noticed today that hairs are coming out. The hair coming out is my natural hair and not the hairs moved in the transplant. I know that Telogen effluvium usually affects the whole head, but this is not the case since hair is not coming out on the side and back of my head. If the hairs that are falling out are my natural hair and in the area where I once had male pattern baldness, will they grow back since it was stress induced? Or does stress totally kill the hair follicle in this case since it's in the area where I once had male pattern baldness? I do use a minoxidle/finasteride topical that has worked well up until this point.

Stress can cause hair loss, it usually grows back. You may be experiencing a heavy shed due to the medications you’re on.
Do you have any pictures to show?

Hi, thanks for the quick reply. Here's the pics. First one with the yellow circle has some thinning in the middle, which is mostly my native non-transplant hair. For second pic, keep in mind that my crown was very thin before the transplant, so there was mix of native hairs and transplant hair in the back. It could also be from lack of sleep that my hair just feels more brittle than usual.

I’d say it is just a heavy shed of native and possibly some transplanted hair. Your crown looks to be getting coverage if it was thin beforehand.
How many grafts did you have?

Your hair is looking good for the number of grafts and 6 months post op. Try to get any stress under control so you can sleep properly and generally be in better health. Try not to worry about your hair as the hardest part is over, you’re only halfway in your journey and there should be further improvement.

Stress causes a lot of damage to our physical as well as mental health. This not only causes heart related diseases but also causes hair loss. Hair loss due to stress is a big problem. Stress has a detrimental effect on the health of the hair. Problems like thinning hair, dry hair and weakening etc. occur. For this, you have to deal with stress first. For that, meditation should be done through yoga. Which will help you stay in good mental health. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any symptoms of hair loss. Because the right treatment needs to be done at the right time.
