Temple points restoration only? (does it happen)

This is not for me i'm just curious in general on this... .. seeing as a lot of clinics seem to have a minimum surgery size, do any clinics just do temple point restorations on there own?
Obviously this type of surgery would only be small and probably not very cost effective for a clinic, but do they still happen and has anyone got any examples?

Lots of clinics will do smaller sessions as they perform eyebrow and mustache surgery on a regular basis.

It is very rare to have receded temple points without the temples and hairline also needing reconstruction. We have examples of traction alopecia cases where the hair has been pulled out in just this area in fact we had a follow up come and see Dr Wong on Sunday.

But in the vast majority of cases temple points are reconstructed when lowering and strengthening both the hairline and temples. If they need doing and have recessed provided the grafts aren't required elsewhere we recommend getting it done as it can provide a better balance overall. They don't need to be dense packed also as the coverage can be decent from a lower number of grafts.

We do get guys coming back for a second surgery and wanting to address the temple points if they weren't touched the first time around.

This traction example below dealt with the hairline being lowered and the sides and temple points being rebuilt, hope it helps.

Thanks Westcoaster and Garageland. I can understand your point when you say it's rare without hairline work dude but what about HT patients......I've seen some examples over the years of patients who have had a HT on the hairline but would look better with temple points....would they then be able to just have a procedure on this area.


I understand what Westcoaster said when he said its possible as people have small eyebrow surgeries etc....It's just I hadn't seen many pictures posted of just temple work.

Clinics should be able to fit a small surgery like this with an existing case without any problem.

I viewed a showcase result the other day where the hair placed in the temple point area does not match the surrounding hair. In this case doing more than the hairline was a big mistake in my opinion as it looks odd. It clearly stands out as not matching and seems almost impossible to conceal unlike a hairline. That is the difference between having years of experience and not having years of experience. Knowing what and what not to do.

I've had fue into my temple points and it doesn't match them at all, the only way I can hide it is to grow them longer. I guess if I want it short I'll either have them removed or transplant further back into the temple point until they blend in.

A minor fue surgery would take a few hours to complete, easy job for the doc.

Only do this if you have coarse hair in the temple points, mine is fine and has had coarse hair fued in front of it and doesn't look good at all
