Hi BM,
Continual thickening I feel. Just over 8 months and am still feeling some new hairs sprouting through.
I need a haircut, it’s the end of the day and I’ve not long got back from a run, but here is a pic near a window. My hair goes blonder this time of year too!
One chap at work, who has a receding hairline, asked if I had something done, but oddly nobody else has (to my face). I’m seeing some friends next month and think they’ll say something.
Odd, I didn’t want to advertise it, but I’m surprised nobody has said anything!
I’m looking at pictures and I have a better hairline than 15 years ago.
I’m genuinely happy considering I’m ‘only’ 8 months in.
I’m not going to lie, I was concerned when I originally posted and a few people commented that there wasn’t enough grafts for the area, but I think that Dr Arshad was taking this into consideration whilst extracting. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. As I said before, he had to search out singles due to all of the multiple graft extractions.
I’m not planning to use any fibres anytime soon. I’m not discounting it, I just don’t feel the need.
Is my hair as thick as it was at 18?
No, because that’s an impossibility, but I was fully informed by the clinic on a level of expectation required with this process.
I was extremely careful post op regarding aftercare, spraying saline every 30 min religiously, even through the night. No alcohol, caffeine, spicy food etc. And most importantly keeping ridiculously hydrated. I think this is the simplest step people can take that is often overlooked.
