Transform Group - Dr Mabroor Bhatty

Hi I am a new user to this forum. I have just returned from a free consultation with the Transform Group and have met the Dr who will carry out the procedure. He is Dr Mabroor Bhatty, I have his GMC number and he is listed as licensed to practice.

Although I am graded around a 3 to 4 on the scale I have been told I would need around 2700 to 3000 grafts. The cost for this is £6000. Has anyone any feedback about the Transform Group and in particular Dr Bhatty.

Hi,

I had to google the doctor and the clinic's name to find out first where he's located. Then I checked the ISHRS website to see if he's a member, which he is not. If you have to look this hard to find info on a particular doctor, you're better off finding another physician with a good reputation. Finding a quality clinic is easier than finding the right one for repair work You want this to be a good experience as opposed to one that could potentially turn into a nightmare. Good luck.

I understand what you are saying and from what I can gauge this seems to be a reputable group. I have been assured that Dr Bhatty is going to the scientific meeting of the ISHRS in September.

He may be a pending member. However, just because he's a member or even speaks at a conference doesn't necessarily mean he's turning out quality work. I'd advise you to speak to as many past patients of this doctor as possible to get their feedback, or better yet see them face to face. Dr. Farjo is in UK and there are half a dozen clinics in Belgium that have good reputations.

cancell your appointment asap ! you need to do a lot more research and i mean a lot more ! dont rush into anything

You need to do a lot more research and don't choose a Doctor based on their cost or location.

You should do it properly the first time or you will be paying another £6000 plus to put it right.

I agree with the others and will advise you to do more research before choosing or even deciding if a HT is what you want.

Consult with some of the clinics represented on here to get a clearer picture of what you require.

Also it would be great if you could post some pictures sowe can see your present hairloss pattern.

Hi Darren, just wanted to know how u got on or what you have found out about the surgeon as I have also recently has a consultation with the same surgeon. My hair loss is traction alopecia as opposed to general male pattern baldness.

Any help would be much appreciated.

i had a transplant with him 2 months ago.i went into it far to quick and did little research.waiting on results although i fear the worst.my advice to you is do your research for at least 3 months before even having a consultation.i wish i had

hi gazza32 please could you post some pictures of the work please. I met dr bhatty for a consult 5 months ago and he quoted 400-500 grafts. I recently went for a consult at vinci and was quoted 800 grafts (but this was not a quote from the surgeon - who would be Dr Vernikos). I am really confused as to how many i actually need. as vinci have doubled the number previously quoted.

It would be great to see how your transplant is looking, thanks.

Ps any1 elses advice of the number of grafts issue would be appreciated

hi all,ive not got a digital camera to upload any photos.and to be honest id prefer to stay annonamos.i paid for 2000 grafts in the frontal area,and i know for a fact i didnt get all of the 2000 in.dr bhatty as performed hundreds of ht i would advise you to choose a surgeon that as performed thousands not hundreds
