Hello Everyone,
I am looking for some advice with regards to hair loss. I think I have looked far to much into on line and can't really make a decision.
Here's my background: 28 year old male.. Noticed receeding at 19... however doesn't seem to have progressed very much within the last 9 years. 2014 I noticed thinning at the crown. started propecia.. but gave them up after a month as I thought I was allergic (hayfever symptoms). Went onto minoxidil for 11 months... still felt I was losing hair when washing etc but didn't notice further thinning at the top. Thought id try propecia again. This time no hayfever symptoms (appears to be dust mite allergy after testing). Gave up after 3 months as was worried I may be suffering from side effects... So now considering transplant... however not sure the best place to go... I have been looking at the glasgow clinic. I have also ordered some more minoxidil but im wondering whether I should go back on propecia as a few others experienced side effects but say its just the body adjusting..
So now im too sure whats best to do. I want to know:
1. Is a transplant worth it? (not fussed about the hairline yet but would like the crown sorted) Where is good to go?2. Has anyone else suffered side effects to propecia? If so did they go away? Doctor said it should be fine. 3. Is minoxidil any good? I heard its only good for the crown.4. Anything else to go along side what I potentially do? At the moment I use Pura d'dor which is meant to help with hair loss.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
