Turkey or U.K.

I was wondering what peoples opinions are on using a clinic in the U.K. compared to turkey ?

would you expect to pay around 4 times as much in the U.K. than turkey ? Are the clinics in the U.K. better regulated ? Turkey seems to have more choice of clinics but is this necessary a good thing how do you find the better ones ?

In my personal opinion in the UK the two places I’d recommend are Farjo and Maitland clinic.

The only clinic I’ve seen consistently good results from in Turkey is Dr Bicer.

UK in general will be more expensive. Turkey is cheaper for everything when comparing to the UK. Quality should be your first choice before cost. Overall, I think the UK is better regulated but without due diligence you could end up having sloppy work anywhere in the world.

I suppose the tricky thing is getting the quality for the budget that people have I would of thought that’s may be people look at places like turkey in the first down to cost ? Unless people feel the surgeon they are seeing is generally better over or on a par with one nearer to home

Hi Dan, I've just had my second hair transplant at AEK in Atasehir Istanbul on Monday 28th Feb 2022. The people in Turkey are very friendly & laid back, but they do have a habit of changing things without informing you, let's face it it's a different country. I understand them, plus everyone is different when it comes to a hair transplant. Density of donor area, realistic expectations plus another surgery might be needed if this is your first one but that depends what type of area needs coverage. Lots of questions to ask about HT but my tips are look for doctors on the board of ABHRS qualified, also a qualified Turkish plastic surgeon, good reviews although you will get the odd ones that twist on and complain about things. I Don't like to recommend clinics it's a personal choice but do your research, Best wishes John

It might be you have to save up longer if you do not have enough for clinic you want. Better to wait and make the choice you want.

The most important thing when searching for a HT clinic in Turkey is to make sure it is accredited by the Turkish Ministry of Health and other international medical authorities (TEMOS, TÜV). Certain clinics also follow ISO compliance, which is a good second filter to separate the wheat from the chaff.
