Is it realistic to think that a cell can replenish ones donor for unlimited fue?this would be ideal for me cos im scared of strip, average donor density to start off with less than average now for sure after dhi,i dont need any fue now but for the future i prob will so thinking would it be a good to start building back up my donor density via a cell?

Im not 100% sure the risks with a cell i heard that if the hair is planted in an area that is affected by dht the a cell hair may or may not be affected my dht so if planted in the donor area this would not be a problem..

Am i talking rubbish or is their logic to what im thinking?

I've looked at this a bit because it sounds too good to be true, being able to rejuvinate cells seems a little far off at the moment. I'm no medic but I would have thought if this was possible for hair it would be used in other areas of medicine first. I think this product has been used in respect of wound healing but not seen anything concrete in results yet. Also I am sure I read that at presnt it is not available in Europe, the company have not been granted a licence to use on humans, only animals. Not sure how up to date the information is though.

But as far as moving a hair and putting it somewhere else and expecting it to establish an organ infrastructure to maintain growth, I cannot see it, love to be proved wrong with results obviously.

Its regrown a finger i think we all know that,im pretty sure i heard spencer kobren say on his radio show that it regrew a new stomach for a cancer patient he also said he thought it was the biggest break through yet in regard to hairloss,dr cooley dr bernstein are offering now i think..

I havent seen photos to be convinced completely but i am more optimistic than you.

Dr cooley gave something like an 80% success rate on his studies so far..it was the whether the hairs if planted in the receiptient might be effected by mpb and the cycles that are the potential problems.

If anyone knows more correct me if im wrong im not 100% sure i have the correct facts?

Well, I think it was a finger tip they talked about not the entire finger. I am pessimistic to be honest because there has been so much written about it, but just that hype, there is so little actual proof or documented studies. Same as PRP some clinics were charging to grow hair but that disappeared quicker than it came. It would be great if it became possible and fingers crossed eventally it does, but for me I don't think I will be the guinea pig either with my body or my money. Hair transplant is elective surgery fortuantely and I think I will elect with for a tried and proven options when I decide.

Not the entire finger you are correct but the tip which included the nail and nerves, sense of touch etc that in itself is nothing short of amazing..again with regards to hair it seems low risk i cant think of any risks it poses..the financial aspect is a diff story but i think its free at the moment as docs are testing it,i doubt a good doc would charge for it unless it has a high % success rate,so if more coalition docs are charging for it be it next yr or yr after i think it would be safe to assume its a viable product,no well respected doc would associate with it unless it worked.

Prp is just your blood basically where as acell is growth factors that the human body doesnt have naturally so i think its unfair to compare the two,was prp thought to regrow hair initially?i thought it was meant for healing of scars etc from the very start?

Hello Mars,

Dr. Mwamba is in the process of doing more research on the ACELL treatment. In our previous study, we did some growth in the donor area but not much (one hair in few donor incisions). We would like to have some proof before saying we have some growth with the ACELL treatment.

ACELL a regenerative medicine is a product that is primarily used to treat damaged tissue, and minimizes scar tissue formation. It also attracts human stem cells which produce new tissue formation at the location of the wound or physical injury (damaged tissue). It is used in the donor areas to help regenerate skin tissue and possibly promote hair growth and to improved healing of the donor incision.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is concentrated blood plasma, which contains approximately five times the number of platelets found in normal circulating blood. In addition, it contains over thirty different growth factors. In hair transplantation, PRP can be injected into the recipient site area to stimulate the healing of the transplanted grafts and into the donor area to help healing of the donor incisions.

Be very interesting to hear about Dr Mwamba`s findings once his study is complete.
