using hair products after surgery

When can I start using hair gel etc after a HT - 10 Days- ?

We advise our patients to hold off on hair products until 10 days post op.

10 days is pretty much the universal rule, unless you use heavy hair spray. If you do, you might want to use an alcohol free, water based hair spray for the first month to avoid any possible inflammatory issues. Honeybee Gardens Hair Spray works well, but there are many on the market.

I used Nanogen fibres 10 days post op and as far as i`m concerned they have not effected the outcome of my HT.

This is an old thread but maybe someone can answer. Could anyone tell me how long before a transplant the use of Rogaine foam should be stopped and at what point after is it fine to resume. Not had a transplant yet but I have a little diary that I'm making notes in ready for when I do.
