Weak donor area

Hello,

I've been losing my hair since I was about 19 I'm 34. I really wanted to get a hair transplant and finally messaged a clinic, after viewing my photos they have said my donor area is too weak and it wouldn't produce satisfactory results. Does anyone know anything about using body hair or is it a case that if my donor area is too weak that's the end of it.

Can you post pictures of your donor area? I assume you have sent pictures to the clinic that gave you this answer?

Your donor area does look weak. How many grafts did any of the clinics you contacted say they could harvest safely?
Body hair is an option if you have plenty of it. However, you will most likely need to keep your hair buzzed short to conceal the difference between the body and scalp hair.
If you take hair loss medications, there are quite a few who have reported that they lose body hair because of the meds, therefore it is a risk you may not want to take.

Thanks for the response Bigmac. Well ideally I wanted to buzz it anyway I just want a hair really to stop me looking so old. I have lots of body hair. The only clinic to respond so far just said my donor area is too weak.

Do you think body hair would be an option then as that was my thought process.

It is an option. Beard hair is the preferred donor. Sl on here had around 7000 with Dr Bisanga. Maybe send him an email with your pictures.

I've had several quotes but sadly for me I'm a lost case so I'll just need to get over it.
