Hi All,
I have thinned quite a lot over the top and crown of my head. I have been using Rogaine for some years now and looked into having a transplant however was advised against by this very same forum as I am still relatively young 26.
I just came across these Hair Fibre Concealers recently. Was quite weird in that I went to view an Audi S5 for sale and I happened to mention to the owner that I wanted a convertible as I am still relatively young and wanted to get it before kids and said not to be fooled by thinning hair. He smiled at me and said "do you think this is all mine" pointing to his own hair which to me looked like a perfect full head of hair. He then showed me the product he uses which was conveniently in his glove compartment and used it on me in the car and I was shocked with the results given he did it in literally 20 seconds, obviously it would be a better job if done properly and using hair spray (before after pic below). He was using something called Super Million Hair
1. So I have done a little research since and wanted to know what is the best product in your opinion overall and what I should purchase. I was well happy with supermillionhair however there are loads out there like Caboki, Nanogen, Toppik, Dermatech, 3dHair, etc.
2. There are also loads of others on ebay, some non branded, but I would only get it if it looks totally natural otherwise I would prefer not to use at all as I would fine that silly. Do you advise against ebay refill non branded fibres?
3. Are there any side effects, can it affect you hair and scalp negatively, I assume its best practice to remove every night.
4. Are normal hair sprays from boots fine to use or is it better to use the ones that come with the fibres?
5. What is the approx cost. Ive seen generally a 25g bottle is approx £30. How long would 25g last if I were to use and take off everyday (and the level of hair loss as shown in pic below?
Any help much appreciated! ;)

I like DerMmatch too but i find the fibres easier to use in the crown and on top whereas the DerMmatch is more useful/beneficial and easier to use around the frontal areas.

I ordered some Toppik dark brown. I think it might be a bit too dark for my hair. I have to use it in a few days. I'm nervous I haven't practiced with it.

I just realised I might be wearing a white shirt when I use Toppik. Is it likely to come off. I will be drunk and probably dancing.

Hi Jessop,

You may want to practice a little before using, it ´s always best, and generally less is more. Practice makes perfect after all.

Obviously some are better than others but also it probably depends on the level of hair loss you are suffering from which give the best effect.

I know guys that use Nanogen and the holding spray and it works well, I think a trick with any is do not apply too much, leave a little scalp visible, especially if applied to the crown otherwise it can look kind of like a carpet.

Thanks, Hattingen. I gave it a trial run last night at home and it seemed ok. Seems like I'd have to rub my clothes against it for it to come off.

I've not used concealer for years... Last time was waiting for my hair to grow after my ht repair.. and only once at a wedding.....

I used topikk fibres on the crown and mid... with a combination of toppiik fibres and dermatch at the front... Also dermatch really worked on my donor scar area perfectly :)
I would definitely agree with the comment above that less is more....

They work well if properly applied.....

Good luck and hope it works for you :)
