I know most clinics will have a variation on this, and i know a lot of veteran patients with experience will have too, but what are people thoughts on the best time to stop the use of minox before a HT, and then what are the best times to start again post op? I realize clinics will have differerant approaches and i thought it might be interesting to see them and learn why.
I know it has been suggested that minox helps grow hair partly by its vasodilatory effects and therefore many if not most clinics will want the use of this medication stopping before surgery to help minimize bleeding during the actual procedure...but at what times preop is optimal?
On the flip side because of this vasodilatory effect it can help with potential shock loss post op so what is the optimal time to start using it again?
