And i also agree with topcat 100%,its a moral obligation to save people from making the same mistakes they did,i have no problem sharing my experience with dhi if i could save one person from making the same mistake i did it would give me great satisfaction.

On the other side, why are not more patients reporting there postive experiences?
Just think about how many patients are treated weekly in Western Europe alone ...

Likely they have solved their problem and move on with there lives.

IMHO webforums like this one are very good to share knowledge and experience, I wished more patients would report back.

Keep up the good work BM!

Bverotti, you make a valid point and I think that we can both agree that the clinics do take the opportunity to post for many patients. Whereas it is always dependent on the patient themselves to post when the experience was not very good.

I just spoke to someone who had a consultation with a highly promoted clinic. The doctor s reaction when asked specific questions was unprofessional almost to the point of being psychotic and that is not an exaggeration. The prospective patient was relieved that he did not have a procedure with this clinic. Yet this information is very important for others to know. But as I wrote it s up to that person to post their experience.

I also understand that people don t want to get involved and that it might come off as bashing. For me it s an obligation to inform others.

Kiely got a hairtransplant himself you would think he would understand how important it is and what kind of an impact it can have on a persons life..he was making false claims on his page awhile back saying he worked with dr ron shapiro also,he looks dodgy too, sorry you got screwed by him heard nothing but bad things about him..the likes of him id like to have strapped to a chair and return the favour he gave to so many.

I have just been banned by one forum from posting. The way their pm system works is if you respond to the e-mail itself it goes to the owner of the site as opposed to the poster. I didn t fully realize this until now. The message I sent was private and my own personal opinion helping to provide information for someone that asked. It really makes me not want to post any longer and helps me to realize why so many others feel the same way.

I was told that my posts were very dangerous.

I guess you can add that to the list.

Since I have been around for such a long time I am very familiar with how most of the forums work. This is the first time I have been labeled dangerous. Maybe I should have cheered on the coalition, but I can t do that. I can only speak what I know to be the truth, and maybe that s what makes me so dangerous.

Topcat

Im new to the forum but have lurked through them all for around a year,i respect you for saying the truth in spite of the inevitable consequences on certain forums, the truth no matter what it is has to get out to the public and its a credit to bigmac for having such an open honest no bullshit forum,i dunno whether im breaking rules saing this but hairsite and hlh make me sick!!

If PM are being filtered by a third person than this is a serious issue and unheared of IMHO. Private is Private, period.

What has happened is they now inlcude the content of the pm in the e-mail notification. If one is not very careful it appears as if the member is sending you an e-mail, when in actuality it is a pm notification coming from the site, with the content included. I should have probably looked more carefully. It was just changed so it was easy to miss.

But the real reason I was banned was becasue I was promoting fue over fuht and this was stated to me. The forum owner feels that this is a very dangerous stance of course I disagree.

My last posting states an example of what I believe the economics of fue over fuht are, and that did not go over very well. But banning posters is bad for everyone.

I have been around too long and that's the real danger.

Any forum owner has the power to read pm`s,the best thing to do is when you make contact via pm provide them your email address and correspond that way.

More of a hassle but at least you know it is private.

I have no interest in reading pm`s by the way.

Lots of people do suffer in silence, they are scared to post as they`ve seen how others have been maligned, however this will not happen here.

Anyone can contact myself with any concerns they have as i`m always willing to help out.

Cheers bm.

Is this true do unhappy patients not post? I think we have seen that they do, after my three terrible ops in the late 90's I would have complained on a forum if there was one to complain to, thankfully these days there are less unhappy patients about, but the guys that post their results on forums are a very small percentage of the overall number of people out their having hts.
