Hairtransplant by Dr. Feriduni : 1200 FUE frontal area + restoration FUT scar / my journey

Dear all here follow my 2 week post surgery pictures . Most scabs have been falling off . The healing goes well . Most scabs on the scar have been fallen off also . The scar is more visible again , but I actually expected it to be worse . The scar even without the scabs doesn’t look that bad and it’s healed well. I have good faith { despite some of the stressfull night and moments I had :) } that the end result will be nice for both my frontal line and restoration of the fut scar . The swelling has been gone , and the numb / tight feeling on my forehead is getting much less and not so annoying anymore ( guess by time it will fade away , doctor assumed me this will be Allright later on ) . As for those who have doubts about going all bald or not for a hair transplant ( I only decided to let my donor side shaved and receiving area ) , it is possible to manage an “ok” hairstyle after two weeks . Tomorrow I will go back to work and will wear a comb over . Most colleagues at my work already have been informed by myself about my hair transplant ( It was positive received ). But I do work in sales ( the worst job for showing up after a hair transplant lol ) and all day I will meet customers . So I was managed to form the next hairstyle ( see picture below which was taken after shower ) . I feel not too bad with it , and actually quit good . For those who are thinking about having a hairtransplant , but not wanne go all bald , I recommend t let you hair grow long a few months ( or longer ) prior to surgery . This way you can always later on ( two weeks after surgery do a nice comb over and cover most parts ) . I even wish I had let my hair grow more longer , so the comb over would have even covered more. But so far I’m still happy with the current look for now , and I think the funny clown look (lol ) which I had just a few days after surgery has been disapeared.

I think you should've just shaved it all as I think it would suit you to be honest. I understand its a dramatic change to what you're used to though!

Hi Kevin. Your healing looks to be going well. Just a few lingering scabs that will probably be gone now. some people do experience lingering pain and numbness that should subside soon. Some pain pills will help manage this. I was like you in choosing not to be completely shaved down. I also wanted my hair left longer to help conceal the work. You seem to be styling your hair well. It’s good that you were able to tell your work colleagues you were having it done. Are they asking you questions about it?
I think your donor scar will look great once these grafts grow.
Being in sales you may get some strange looks if face to face with customers but it could be a good talking point and help with the sale.
Thanks for the update.

3 weeks and some days have been passed since my hairtransplantation at the clinic of Dr. Feriduni . Last week I started work again , and my colleagues reacted very positive . Some guys even admitted they would be interested in a hair transplant too in the future . I think the topic is finally less taboo these days . My manager also said she could see the work was done very nice and she said my hair was growing fast like a plant . As for my regular customers, no one looked at me strange or asked me about my hair . Guess the cover up hair style did its work well . As for the fut scar I also had no one asking me about it or looking strange at me . I’m feeling good and happy also . As for my progress , the scabs are all gone , and also thank God the numb feeling on my forehead has disappeared. I was kinda worried about this before . But I noticed warmth and just walking around or keeping myself busy helped a lot . So I’m really glad this numb feeling on my forehead has disappeared. Here follow my pictures 3 weeks post surgery :

Hi scottdog , thanks for your compliment . Ik excited for the final results after 12 months, and the first results over 2/3 months. Don’t be nervous . The surgery is painless , i myself had 3 HairTransplants , and I was always nervous before ( while not needed ) , it’s normal . I guess it’s all because its such a big step and big day in your life , and in the end we all want a good result . And belief me , you will not regret your hair transplant . I am satisfied I did it , and once you see the result you will feel very happy . The most hard part I find not being able to sleep in the normal way you used too for a week . Don’t worry brother , your in good hands , and you will have a good / positive change in your life with your new hair . Good luck

It will help you a lot brother . My first hairtransplant made such a difference . Later on I just got more hair greedy and wanted more , but actually after my first hair transplant already there was a major difference . You might maybe get some forehead swelling like I had , but even this is not painfull at all , and will fade away . But others don’t even get the forehead swelling . You will really feel happy once you did if . And time goes fast , before you know you see a big difference and great result .

I heard and read sulfate free shampoos are best for hair , and often I use these . so check on the package info if the shampoo is sulfate free or not . Or Google for sulfate free shampoo , certain brands have these . Maybe other members have some good shampoo suggestions too . What I also suggest is taking finasteride 0.5 mg ( oral ) a day . This was the first thing the clinic recommend me back then in 2009 when I had my first consult for my first hairtransplant , and since then I am still using it with great satisfaction . Many members here like bigMac can attest to the importance and effectiveness of finasteride . Also Matt dominance on his YouTube channel and his website has good info on this topic . Finasteride will help you keep and maintain the hair you still have . And yes invest your money in things that make you happy and are important to you. For me personal my hair did matter a lot to me , in regards to my confidence and feeling of happiness , so I decided to save money and invest in a hairtransplant . For me personal it was life changer , the results made me feel happy again and enjoy life . Just go for it , and don’t be afraid to go for something that makes you happy . And it’s good you do your research and are asking people here for help and information. This summer will be life changer for you in a good way .

These are fine scottdog . Its 1 mg , that’s good , and you can cut them into two . So you have two doses of 0,5 mg which you can take a day , many take 0,5 mg a day . I myself have tablets of 5 mg , which I need to cut into 8 pieces to get around the 0,5 mg daily dose . You can get them by doctor prescribtion. Often the doctor at the clinic who treats can wrote prescription for you . Or your local GP can do . You can make a visit and tell your doctor you wanne treat your male Battery baldness with finasteride , and you can tell him you will be treated for a hair transplant . Nothing to be ashamed about , it’s normal . But if feel less comfortable with doing this , then ask the doctor at your clinic to write a prescription for you . Good luck . Don’t know if there are any guys here who buy them online . I think with medicine like this , it’s best go for the safe way and get them by prescription and real doctor . Good luck

Most grafts have usually shed at 2-3 weeks so it’s possible some of yours are continuing to grow. Everything looks good with the post-op healing. I’ll look forward to your next update.

2 Month Post OP . Here comes my update guys . All has healed well . Few weeks ago started to workout in the gym again , and enjoying the pool. My hair is looking normal like before my OP ( luckily the weird haircut look / situation after my OP has been grown out finally ) . Most grafts did fall out , but a few did not fall out in the temple area , which already gives my hair a slight nice improvement compared to my hair situation before OP . As for the transplanted grafts into my FUT scar , I think I still have to wait for the hairs coming out there probably around 3/4 month mark ( just as for the rest ) , altough ive got the feeling there is some slight improvement already . Let me share you all my current pictures . The first one is with my hair styled , others are with my hair combed backwards in order to show the transplanted area . The last pictures will be showing the area of my fut scar where grafts have been placed ( the hair around it has nicely grown alread also , so the scar is not much visible anymore ) .
