Shaven VS non shaven

Hello, I have my transplant booked for December, I have a topuo on the crown, but it's mainly to rebuild and lower my hairline.
They advised the fully shave my hair, but I would rather leave the top as I will be off work for a month only.
In terms of the final result, would there be much difference?
Thanks.

If they didn't think there would be a difference, they wouldn't suggest it. Follow the suggestions that they feel are best for the optimum surgical outcome.

Some surgeons are more experienced with shave less FUE than others.

I had hairline and crown work unshaven and when I asked they said the work would give the same or better result as they were more practiced in unshaven FUE.

Others much prefer to shave, so as has been said, I'd go with whatever your chosen surgeon advises.

Much appreciated, I suppose I won't know their actual thoughts until the day, I have convinced myself that it would need to be shaved, however if they can do the same result without then it can only be a better day.

If I have to have a ping pong ball head for a few months then so be it.

Do you have any pictures you can share?
Some clinics are comfortable performing no shave while others want you to shave. Graft numbers can often dictate which method would be more suitable for you.

I went non shaven but looked like a plonker after so it does look cleaner shaved.

This was 3 days post hairline work.
It took probably 4 weeks until the back and sides had grown to a point where it didn't look like a disastrous haircut, but i went out on day 8 or 9 with no signs of actual surgery visible.
