Finasteride is what I use. Rogaine is a good o;goin for you too. Oral minoxidil has been producing very good results for some.
here I completely agree with you , my father had a similar situation , he was helped not by some doctor , but by the same person from the forum as you , so I am very grateful to you . For him , it was a lot of stress at first , because a lot was brought up from his appearance at his job , and appearance is a status.

had my 3 month check up today. they said they're happy with the results so far. they wanted me to be in their success stories. i said lets wait for a little more success first :giggle: i also can't workout if they brushed it a little differently today so i can't tell exactly like for like

i noticed after about 2 months ish i was using less toppik each day so i think there has been some improvement. still early though.

Picture 3 with the comparison looks like you have more hair. As you say, it is possible the hair is combed to show more coverage but very early days yet.

Hi noodles14.

I think that your crown is showing definite improvement. But, as Kevboy said, it's still early days.

I was always curious about Belgravia. On their website, in the before/after pictures section, most of the photos do show the appearance of miniature hairs but, given the limited timeframe, it was never clear to me whether those miniature hairs would eventually obtain normal length or if this was as good as it got. It will be interesting to see your final result. All the best.

Hey all, while since i posted. So been continuing with belgravia. At about month 11 i peaked i think and then i don't know if it would have gone backwards or not anyway but i did one of those at home blood tests for general health and one of the things was my liver enzymes were raised, then when back at belgravia they said any health issues they should know about so i told them and they said ok you have to come off fin then, and would need a gp note to continue. Perhaps lucky i identified it but i had no idea the two were related.
Been on minoxidil on its own since then and crown been getting worse so they've now given me 8% minox once a day and 10% minox + 5% azealaic cream for once a day, although having now bought it im having second thoughts about using it having read some side effects stuff on line. Any thoughts appreciated. Pics attached. Also still using toppik as per my first post in this thread which is still doing a decent job, but not sure how much longer ill have enough hair to get away with that.

Was it directly linked to Fin? Diet, alcohol etc can cause levels to be raised.
Has your blood been checked since you quit?

Has your blood been checked since you quit?now i haven't done anything, i wasn't really sure what to do, but ive been off it a while now so thinking about going to doc and seeing if i can get a letter to go back on it for 6 months and then test liver levels again
i didn't tell the doc i was on fin because i didn't know they were linked till belgravia told me, and i haven't checked anything since. thinking about doing back to doc to get a letter to get back on fin for 6 months and then check liver levels in 6 months time?

Have them checked before and after. Maybe it is not related to the Fin. Topical Fin could be an option as well.

it looks like a product ad and a faux hair attachment I see in Chinese tiktoks. I'm sorry if I'm wrong. I just can't believe how effective toppik is.

ha ill take that as a compliment i guess. toppik has been a life saver for me.

having another blood test next week to check liver levels again and hoping i can get a doc letter for belgravia to let me try fin again. if i can't get one i may try hims topical minox and fin combo as the increased minox dose cream from belgravia isn't helping any. and then keep getting blood tests to monitor how its going myself. anyone have any view on hims treatment v belgravia?

The Belgravia will just be worried that if they let you continue and anything happened even if completely unrelated they could be liable for a lawsuit.

There are plenty of online pharmacies that have doctors working there that will ask a few questions and provide a perscription for you

when started using fin at belgravia they put me on topical 0.05% twice a day which didn't cause me any sides. Is there any reason to think using the Hims topical with a 0.3% dose once a day is going to cause me any issues?

I’m not an expert as I don’t use it but I am pretty sure at those doses it stays in or just under the skin and isn’t a high enough concentration to go systemic and give side effects.

You will have to just try it and if you do get some then stop using it
