Dr. Susanna Rossler hair restoration at Vinci Clinic in Malaga, any experiences?

Hi guys!

Happy to be here. You can read more about my hairloss experience here.

I had an appointment at Vinci Malaga on Thursday at got an offer for next week for FUE surgery. Around 2500 grafts (determined according to need during surgery), for 2500 euros, over 2 days.

Dr. Susanna and her assistant Dayana Abreu seemed friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They answered questions in detail after the appointment by e-mail.

I can see there's some feedback on Susanna Rossler on Google Maps and the usual promo stuff on their website vincihairclinic dot com, but I don't see any independent reviews of any of her or Dayana Abreus work with hair restoration. So even if I'd like to do this next week, I'm hesitant unless I get some independent reviews.

Does anyone have any experience with Vinci Malaga after Susanna Rossler took over as surgeon or with Dayana Abreus, and what did you think?

Have you some pictures to show your hair loss situation?
Are you travelling back to Spain to have the surgery? If so, are there any covid restrictions in place?

I'm here in Malaga on mostly unrelated reasons. I plan on staying until I get the surgery done, then go back to Norway. There are some restrictions in Malaga, but they're not too bad. Home quarantine back to Norway.

Would be cool to get this done now, but I won't do it reaults are not excellent.

Vinci Malaga does have good reviews at Google Maps with a 4.9/5 average from genuine accounts. But there's nothing from any hairloss forums.

I liked the doctor's concern into the general issues, pros and cons of having light Nordic type blond hair with transplants. If it doesn't fit you it doesn't matter if she can do it for someone else. She showed me some pics of a guy she had done with almost complete male pattern hair loss with my type of hair/genotype but thinner hair and it was quite impressive, because even with the little hair he had to transplant his hair looked pretty decent in the end (up close in HD). So if that's an indication of my result, it would be easier to give someone with fuller and more hair a decent hairline.

There are a few clinics around the Malaga area. It may be worthwhile seeing if you could consult with others before committing.

Hi Highbrow,

Did you decide to go ahead with the surgery? I am also thinking of having mine done at the Vinci Malaga clinic.

Malaga seems like its pretty good in terms of controlling Covid Bigmac, I'm currently there...not sure on the clinics the guy mentioned but in terms of travelling to Malaga it's fairly straight forward.l at the minute and dirt cheap...either double jabbed to go or a covid test within 72 hrs of departure, then a covid test on return to UK is current rules..obviously this is forever changing and with the upcoming travel reviews etc it likely will but at the minute it's easy enough. What I will say is Jet2 are more keen than Ryanair interms of proving your double jabbed. They weren't going to let me fly as I didnt have the NHS app on my phone showing I'm double vaxxed even though I had both the little cards and a certificate proving it....think she was having a bad day or something lol.

On a side note i wouldnt fancy arriving early to the airport if I'd just had a HT as the place is red hot at the minute and with having to wear a mask you tend to sweat more than normal....just the usual time before flights is best (i normally go early and get a meal but not advisable imo ).

Hi CJ!

I did go ahead and the process has gone fine so far. It was professional in all respects and the price seemed good for a quality job (2500 euros for around 2500 hairs).

However, I'm not very sure about the end result yet, since it's only been around 45 days and no new hairs have started sprouting.

Perfect thank you for letting me know. Do you have any photos you could share? Also was the hotel nice that they put you up in? Thanks!

I hope you misunderstood the part about the amount of hairs placed.
2500 grafts would be like about 1250 grafts and that is about a fraction of what is needed in your case.

Even if you had 2500 grafts, you will have to have another round since it is not nearly enough to cover the balding area with a descent coverage.

Also, 99% of transplants patients don't get regrowth after 45 days so don't worry about that. It takes 3+ months before you see some action going.

You're right, 2500 grafts, not 2500 hairs! Thanks pro hair person. :)

Yeah, she only did the front part.

As for the crown, it doesn't really bother me as much. Doctora also suggested a treatment combination of minoxidil and maybe other "soft" treatments before doing another transplant, which I thought was a bit hopeful, but worth a try.

I liked the fact that unlike the other top clinics I got quotes from, she didn't want to squeeze 5500-6500 grafts into one operation (2 days). I'd rather take the experience from this one and do another one if I need it than empty my entire donor area and get stuck with the result.

Not much action going on here yet, but.. :)

Didn't buy a hotel package, I was in Malaga already at the time.

Looks good to me. Good luck with it. I think I'm likely to go ahead as well with the same doctor so any future updates would be much appreciated!

Hello Highbrow. It’s good to hear your surgery went well. Those 2500 grafts should produce a nice new look for you. I think the hairline design is appropriate with your level of loss.
I’ll look forward to following your progress.
All the best.
