Hair transplant for 2660 at HDC Hair Clinic

Hello. I am Aristos Anaxagoras, I am 31 years old and I work as a technician in HDC hair transplant clinic for about the last 6 years. Over the years I have seen the various results that we have achieved as a team and especially how satisfied our customers were and are. From an early age in my 20s hair loss began slowly and I wanted sometime in the future where I would stabilize about to go ahead and have a transplant. So now because of the situation with the covid-19 pandemic many of our clients have not been able to come to Cyprus to do the surgery and I found the opportunity to do mine. On January 25-26, 2021 I had the transplant and needed 2660 grafts to restore the front of my head. The operation was performed by dr. Kyriakos Maras and Dr. Christina Vryonidou with the rest of the nurses and technicians.

During the surgery many of the clients told me that it is not very painful and that they can withstand the whole procedure just fine while others felt much more pain during anesthesia. What I can say is that there is indeed a little pain during anesthesia but nothing more than the feeling of bee sting and that it is something quite tolerable.

During the transplant I felt no pain at all as after when I finished only a little burning in general in the head which immediately subsided only with painkillers.

Now after a week I don't feel pain or burning. I post photographic material from before, during and after transplantation per day donor and donor area. I will try to post about the first few days photos daily to see the healing of the first few days.

Hi Aristos. Welcome to the forum.
It's a nice turnaround for you to be the patient and experience surgery.
The donor and recipient areas look very clean. Nice ultra refined work.
Those 2660 grafts will transform your appearance. Will you be having any work done on the crown sometime in the future?
Are you on any hair loss prevention regimen?

Thanks for documenting your story and the quality pictures.
All the best.
Bm.

You must have the patience of a saint working for a prolific hair restoration centre for 6 years and taking so long to address your own situation.

I was waiting to see how my hair loss was developing these last years. I wanted to wait until there is an obvious bald area in the front before I proceed.

Your donor is looking good and healing well. It doesn’t look as though you suffered any shock loss either.
Thanks for adding the additional picture.

The photos of the donor at the 4th and the 5th day after surgery were taken with my mobile and are little blurred. This shows how a bad photo can give a different picture of the reality.
This is the photo of the donor after 16 days

Photos taken in different lighting, angles and camera quality can play a role in how we see the images.
Your donor is looking good at 16 days.

Everything looks to have healed well. There's not much redness in the recipient area and your donor looks good.
Thanks for the clear pictures and update.

I would like to make my post as the model post of recipient and donor development from start of Hair Transplant Surgery to final result.

So I am now updating my recipient area from 38 days to 3.5 months after surgery.

I hope I will help the readers of my post to get the absolute insight of recipient development.

The hairline is taking shape with some early growth starting. The redness has gone down a lot and hardly visible now.
Thanks for the update.

Hi Guys, I am now 1 year after my Surgery. I am posting some intermediary and final result photos.

I would like to inform you that I did not use any medication before or after my Hair transplantation. To be precise, I tried Minoxidil but had some slight side effect in giving me a headache, so I stopped. I just did 3 IPRF sessions. 1 every month starting 1 month after the surgery date.

Below I am posting the continuation of my previous post, The result on the 4th and 5th month as well as the final one. I also include the before and post op, thus giving you a more complete view of my case
