Hi, I am a year after the transplant, currently I use ;essence; shampoo from Italy with saw palmetto and I also eat tablets with palm, I am moderately satisfied with the effect. mainly I am afraid that the center of the head will fall out, because I had only the bends transplanted, I am also afraid of finasteride because I am a neurotic and I had depression, and I know that it can affect my condition, I want to improve the quality of hair and these spaces, what I can do best in this moment? I know that I have dht above the norm. thank you very much for the advice and please help.

You had quite a bit of loss pre-surgery, your transplant has provided you with decent growth And coverage. Having a good hair cut and style should improve the look. Both native and transplanted hair loss can continue, therefor, using something to help prevent this will benefit you. Because of your condition I understand why you are hesitant to take oral finasteride. A possible side effect is depression and you don`t want to make it worse.
A possible solution could be oral minoxidil or a topical application such as a low dose Finasteride/minoxidil spray. It’s probably s good idea to run these option by your family doctor or a hair transplant doctor.

I agree with bigmacs reply to you. I think a topical med is what you need to maintain your hair. You might improve it, especially your crown which is a little thin. Your mental health and wellbeing is important. Having help and support is imperative which we can offer on a non professional basis but please do make sure you get help from your doctor if not already.

everybody writes topical, I did homemade, I mixed minoxidil with finasteride in tablets, I used it for a month but I stopped, I don't know if it works, but a lot of people do it, it's hard to buy topical in my country, there is one called "polaris" there is finasteride and monoxidil 12 percent and very expensive and lasts for a month. What do you think about saw palmetto, I eat tablets and I have a shampoo supposedly to block dht?

Seems to be a saw-palmetto schampoo, saw-palmetto is usually a natural way that some say is working to prevent DHT, if it does I dont know. Finasteride as you said is the most common drug to use after a hair transplant to try to keep the hair you still got.

I think your transplant looks good, you got good coverage and its looking alot better than before. Enjoy your new hair!
