I tried foam after liquid but that too caused irritation. I believe I did experience regrowth of dormant follicles and strengthening of miniaturised hairs With Finasteride. It is still maintaining my hair 17 years on.
I believe it is maintaining my donor area too.

Hair transplants and meds

Looks great! I have similar hair loss on the crown and a receding hairline. I’m definitely going to get a HT just nervous about the price but I know it will be worth it.

If I had known about meds and used them before my first hair transplant I may not have ever needed one if the meds improved my hair enough.
A HT in my opinion is the last resort.

Have you a picture showing your loss? Crowns can eat up a lot of grafts.

Can the meds potentially regrow hair that is no longer there? I feel like I have realistic expectations for the HT. I don’t need a perfect hairline or super thick hair. Just filled in everywhere and I will continue to use the fibers.

I can post pictures tomorrow. Have the fibers in now. I know this is a very vague question without actually seeing my hair, but with my crown loss being similar to yours plus the hairline I can probably expect to spend past 10k on the HT, huh?

If hair follicles are gone/dead they can’t be regrown. Cost depends on grafts numbers and where you go. Some countries are cheaper than others if you’re prepared to travel.
