Did you take any kind of medication to avoid skin necrosis because of the density?
My surgeon told me that there's almost no risk of skin necrosis when it is done properly. But yes, I was given somethign to take that's uncommon for most other places.
I was given a pill that had the following: Cialis, Viagra, Minoxidil and Arginine. I took one a day for 3 months. Pretty much all vasodilators, so I assume they were for increasing skin blood flow due to density.

Thanks, I'm quite happy with them. Though honestly, I'd actually prefer them to be slightly less dense than they are, but that's nitpicking. Since I haven't really cut them, they're getting pretty long. I think they'd look fantastic if cut very short.
That's really interesting because Ive seen a few other cases where the temple points only look good grown long. I guess it might come down to how well they blend with the surrounding native hair. Probably another reason (alongside the angulation, design and hair selection) why they can be so hit and miss.
For what it's worth i think they look good grown out, although I know it's different in photos vs real life.

I had a surgeon transplant my hairline close to 100 FU. Was pretty upset when I had to find this out for myself (particularly as hair density in non balding men typically doesn;t go over 80 FU/cm2 so mine has never looked natural), but it was only when I consulted other surgeons to remove it did I find out about the risks of necrosis. Sounds like your surgeon is quite inventive in handling dense packing in a single session and was ethical in warning you of the risks. Glad it has worked out for you.

How soon after surgery did you take the vasodilator cocktail?

I think I took the first pill day of surgery (few hours after surgery).

I think you've probably had all your growth now. There will be the hair maturing but it’s so dense right now I don’t know if you’ll notice a difference,

Here's 10 months, showing me combing through the hair, and also the hair under a flash light (worst possible lighting I could manage to try to force it to look transparent):

I missed your last update. The comb through illustrates just how dense your hair is. The micro irregularities really help when creating a natural looking hairline. It is up there with the best. You must be thrilled with it.

Very happy with it :)
Unfortunately, it seems Dr. Thiago is no longer accepting new patients, as he is booked for a very long time. His sister clinic though has a 6-12 month waiting period, so that's always an option.

Waiting lists I see as a good thing. It gives time for more research and education before going ahead with a HT.
Glad you’re happy with your result.

I would love to see a skin fade to see what the donor looks like. Might ask that you get a selfie stick to document it too. If you ever get such a hair cut.

Who knows, maybe one day. But right now I'm just growing it out. Though i think the donor turned out pretty great, as it looked very good post OP. You can see on the first page pictures of my donor after surgery.

Looks great. I`d say you can stop worrying about your hair now and enjoy the various styling options.
