Hi all!

First time poster here. I had such an amazing experience with Dr. Bicer and her team. Yeah k from the United States so it was quite a journey. Let's start.

I flew from the United States and had a small layover in Frankfurt Germany on April 10th. Then flew to Istanbul where my sister met me and picked me up (she lives in Ankara, Turkey). Stayed overnight at the recommended hotel right by Dr. Bicer's clinic.

Day of the operation; woke up at 7:30 AM and took the short walk to her clinic and filled out the necessary paperwork. I had a lot of anxiety going in to my hair transplant but they put me at ease and I was calm soon after. Dr. Bicer said I had very thin hair so I was not expecting the best results as thicker haired patients tend to have a better transplant.

The surgery it self took about 10 hours, But I was in there a little longer because they received a surprise audit from the health ministry. I think that my hair progressed faster than normal, please see my pictures below.

Welcome to the forum Ire1983 And thanks for documenting your surgery.
You had quite the journey traveling from the US to Turkey. It was nice that your sister lives there and was able to meet you at the airport.
Those 3720 grafts are already making a big difference to your appearance at 4 months. You now have a hairline which has allowed for a new hair style that looks great. I see you had more scabbing in one area that left unevenness in the area. Growth looks slower there. Did you bang your head or just have some stubborn scabbing there?
It would be great to see a picture showing your donor.
Are you on any hair loss prevention regimen.
Dr Bicer receiving an unannounced visit from the health ministry could be the start of some sort of enforced regulation to get rid of the unlicensed clinics.
I’m looking forward to following your journey till the 12 month mark.
Thanks again for sharing your story.
All the best.
Bm.

I did have stubborn scabbing where it's red and Dr Bicer said I lost about 10 grafts. I'm very OCD so I can tell, but she assured me when my hair transplant is finished you couldn't even be able to notice.

Looks like you are an early grower, hopefully this will keep getting better and better and you will be fully satisfied at 12 months even though you say you have fine hair.

How would you define early grower? I definitely could see a big difference at 3 months.

Because you had lots of growth at just 4 months, for some they dont see a single hair at 4 months and majority see a very small amount, it is normally said to be the starting point of the grafts to be sprouting.

I would be happy with this growth at 4 months. You look like a new person.

Losing those 10 grafts should not make a difference to the overall result. You definitely are an early grower. As Loui says, some people have zero growth at this timeframe.
Donor looks good for 4 months too.

Dr Bicer also said that when my hair is done growing that it will make no difference in appearance. I'm very OCD and I notice everything.. so right now that little thin spot is bothering me.

I doubt it will be noticeable once you reach 12 months. If it does bother you, you could always have a few grafts added at some point.

I hope you're right. It definitely bothers me now and I'm a little worried because I have not seen really much improvement in the last month or so and seem like everything came in all at once and the Growth has stopped

Growth can and does come in spurts. One month you may have a lot of growth while another not too much. Keep taking pictures and updating as I’m sure you'll see more growth in the coming months.
