Excessive bleeding during HT procedure

I had excessive bleeding during my procedure, which prolonged the whole process. I now realized that I should have probably stopped taking multivitamins before the procedure, which I didn't. I take Men's One a Day which contains vitamins B and E, which I understand thin the blood. Can that result in an adverse outcome on the success of my transplants?

Surgery was on 10/1/22. No bleeding once I left the facility. I had a total of 4,000 grafts. I do remember them saying a few popped out and they had to put them back in due to me bleeding. But they stopped all the bleeding once they were done. Doc said I was bleeding more than he'd like, but it wasn't the worst that he's seen.

Providing no other issues and the surgery was performed to a high standard there should not be any adverse outcome because of the bleeding during surgery.
How has your post-op healing been?
Was it FUE or FUT?

It was FUE done by hand. Post op has been good, no major issues that I've been aware of. I still have some mild pain/burning in donor region. Here's a pic of my head from today (8 days post-op). I had 1,600 grafts transplanted in the front, 400 in the mid section, and 2,000 in the crown

Healing looks to be going well. The pain in the donor could be some nerve endings that were slightly damaged. It causes some discomfort and pain until they heal. It may just be the whole healing process as 4000 is a big surgery.

Are you on a hair loss prevention regimen?

So I'm not currently on any hair loss prevention. I am doing PRP injections. I did one on day of surgery, at 30, 60 and 90 days, and maintenance thereafter. I used to be on propecia over 15 years ago but stopped. I'm considering starting the finesteride/minoxidil topical spray post 2 weeks surgery. Any thoughts on that? My doctor didn't push for medication due to possible side effects, but he's a proponent of PRP therapy, which I know not everyone is a proponent of. I'd rather not say the facility's name, but I'm in Los Angeles

Quite a few clinics in LA. It’s fine not mentioning. Maybe once your HT result comes in you will mention them.
PRP does work for some people. Some clinics do PRP better than others as it’s not a one size fits all. I’ve been on oral Finasteride since 2005. For me, it has been great. The topical is supposed to have a lesser chance of side effects and very effective. As long as you’ve researched it, you’re ok with using it, then see what your HT doctor or another medical prescriber advises you. Read up on the possible side effects.
