Temple Point Restoration

Hi Everyone... First time posting. i was hoping for some advice.

I'm 34 and live in the U.S., and I've been on Finasteride and. Minoxidil for years/months. I've had great results with both. I'm probably a Norwood 2/3 and after extensive research, i'm ready to proceed with an FUE procedure. I'm in the process of selecting a clinic. My budget is 10k (with travel etc.) and all the estimates i've received from doctors suggest i'll need approximately 2500 grafts. My focus is restoring my temple points. My hairline is not super high, but i'm open to lowering it and strengthening it as the density around the hairline is not great. But really my main concern is selecting a doctor who is a pro at temple points. I also want to increase density in the crown. I'm open to Turkey (it would be nice to get out of town) or anywhere else where there is a good doctor and someone who can communicate in English. I'm ethnically wheat colored/lightly tan middle eastern/ mediterainian and my hair is dark brown/ light black, seems soft/fine but dense (especially in the donor area). My top contenders at the moment are Dr. Kesser in Istanbul and HLC (Anakra) or the less expensive option Dr. Serdaroglu (who answers my questions directly). Are there any other clinics/ doctors that I should be considering for a temple/hairline restoration? Who else should I consult with? I'm not intersted in any clinc where technicians are going to be performing the surgery. I would appreciate your advise... again, the goal is someone who is excellent at temporal point restoration.

The only one I would trust would be Dr Juan Cuoto for temple points.

I would suggest not doing temple points at all though because of the difficulties.

I think you might getting it wrong though, you probably have lost abit in the upper temple part, that you can restore without touching the temple points. Would be good if you can post some photos.

You can checkout my thread about Dr Michalis Georgiou, hes a much better choice than the ones you mentioned in my opinion. You can also checkout Dr Bruno Pinto and Dr Bruno Ferreira in Portugal, they seem to do really good work.

Thank you for the response. I'll look into your suggestions! I have to do the temple points, I saw your pics and my situation is different. I I know it's difficult and that's why I need someone talented and with good experience with them. I've been researching and consulting with clinics for months and those are the ones that took the temple points into consideration. If I do the hairlines without touching the points it will look very weird.

Did the 2500 graft estimates also address your crown? Just making sure, but didn't seem like it did so you have to keep that in mind for the sake of donor management. Even if you're not lowering your hairline, thickening it creates the appearance of lowering and that is where the proper temple point restoration comes into play, in how it correlates to the hairline. A specialist will know this but I encourage you to make sure that anyone you choose is experience with using proper stereoscopic microscopes in order to create and refine single hairs for the frontal edge of the temple points. At least one of the names you shared doesn't, and the last thing you want are thick doubles or worse in the visible edge of your temple points.

Hi Joe! Thanks for commenting on my posts. I've been listening to your show for the last few weeks/months. I haven't called in because of the nature of my work, but I appreciate your input.

For the majority of the doctors/clinics the 2500 did include the crown. Most have told me that about 500 grafts will take care of that. I still have a pretty tight spiral and have thinning "north" of the spiral. There have been some doctors who quoted me significantly more or significantly less and others, Dr. Serdaroglu, who didn't want to do the crown because he thought it was too early. Dr. Bicer said I didn't need enough grafts for her to do the surgery.

I feel like its hard to get good information on who has good experience with temple point work. I don't hate the way my hair looks from the front, it's the profile/side view that I don't like becuase of the temples and I want to make sure I get someone good for that, (preferably someone with availability), but i'm starting to wonder if that's even possible.

As for the clinics/doctors I mentioned... i'm not really sold on any of them. I would appreciate your honest feedback on them. I've pretty much eliminated Dr. S as an option, but I'm not the other two. I also hesitate to go to any clinic where I don't know who the doctor is who is operating on me ahead of time.
