An unusual but very interesting case. Why did Dr. Paul tendential plant the grafts in the front into a right curve? It seems that this patient gets a side parting without combing his hair...c;;9 And did Dr. Paul extract or implant grafts in his mustache?

Best regards

AJKV,

The patient's native hairs curves ever so slightly to the right. Dr. Paul just follows the natural pattern like he does with all patients. Few grafts were planted into the moustache.

The work looks nice and clean.

Janna,do you have a breakdown of how many grafts were placed in his crown, also how many cm`s was the hairline lowered.

It will be great to hear from the patient.

Thanks bm.

The exact distribution of grafts are not recorded but approximately 6-700 grafts went into the crown. Many single hair grafts were needed for the hairline and temples peaks.

The hairline was brought down about 1 1/2cm in the very center of the hairline to 2 1/2 cm in the temple corners. These are all estimates as the exact figures are not recorded.

Thanks for the answer Janna. Another question is how often does SMG shave the area down? I noticed that the front peak looks like it was shaved down and his vertex as well.

TC,

Sorry, no pics on file.

Icsulla,

To shave or not shave the recipient area depends on the density we're trying to achieve and how much native hairs are present. Sometimes we'll do a modified cut leaving enough long hairs to cover over the work. We try to accommodate the patient whenever possible to not shave but patient will be made aware before surgery if hair needs to be shaved.
