Hi, how much did this cost if you don't mind me asking?Hi Guys,
Had my first hair transplant today at the Hair Dr Clinic in Dewsbury, UK with Dr Arshad. I don't particularily have bad hairloss, I just wanted my temples and hairline restoring after they moved up about an inch at the sides when I was 18/19, I am now 29.
Great experience from the beginning, from the initial contact & consultation, then to arriving on the day, everyone is super friendly and welcoming, and go through everything in detail with plenty of opportunities to ask questions. I met with Dr Arshad who had a look at my current hair, and drew on my new hairline which I was very happy with.

Once happy, I was given a gown to change into, and had my head shaved. Then I had the extraction of the grafts done, the initial injections are uncomfortable but it only lasts for a minute, then its completely pain free. The extraction process isn't bad, you just lay down on your stomach, it was soon over.
After, we had lunch which was provided, they take your order and get it from a local cafe, I had a toastie & chips which filled me up nicely.
After lunch I had the channel incisions done by Dr Arshad which seemed to go very fast & was pain free.
Next I then had all my grafts inserted by their team of technicians who are very professional and polite. You get to relax and watch TV or listen to music during this,
My day seemed to go quick and 1500 grafts only took around 6-7 hours, I was finished by 3:15pm!
Dr Arshad was very happy with the result, as was I. I was given all the required medication to take for the next week at least while it heals, and given a detailed calender chart which shows what time to take your pills etc.

I am very happy that I have my hairline back, and I will update with further progress pictures as the healing process continues.
Overall so far my experience with the Hair Dr clinic was very positive & professional and I have no faults. I now await my results after healing!
They charge £3 per graftHi, how much did this cost if you don't mind me asking?
Ah I see, that's annoying, but oh well least it's sorted now!
Had a great consultation today, going ahead with the Touch Up to add more grafts to the hairline & will also include a free PRP treatment which should help alot too.
Looking forward to the final result!!
Not sure how many I have left!! I’m a NW6, 42, and don’t take any meds due to sides. I have have had 9,100. I don’t have any left at the back of my donor, but my sides still feel good and I have a really dense beard, so hope for maybe 1500 in crown and midscalp to add a bit of density.Good to hear you’re happy with the outcome of your appraisal.
How many grafts will you be having with this follow up procedure?

Not exactly sure yet how many, will find out on the day, but said it wouldn't be a big job like the first one, should just be a few hours in the afternoonGood to hear you’re happy with the outcome of your appraisal.

I realised that after I'd pressed 'post' D'oh!!My question was for the shape but nice to get an update on your current situation.
I always seem to get run down on it, and pick up far more colds. I know there is no evidence for this, but I have cycled on and off it for years, and always experience the same thing. I even tried topical finasteride this summer, hoping it would be different, but I had 3 colds in about 7 weeks. This only happens when I am on fin. I spoke to Dr Arshad about this, and he said I must just be very sensitive to it. It's a shame, because I respond really well to it.W
What sides did you get?

Thanks! I wil update accordingly, Dr Hamza did the extractions last timep.s., who performed the extractions last time?
Thanks! I tried minoxidil previously before I had my touch up, I have taken Finasteride daily since my first transplant a year ago, Nizoral hasn't been mentionedHope it goes well!
I am also having as top up at the Hair Dr in 7 weeks for a result similar to yours. Did Dr Arshad advise you to use minoxidil and Nizoral before and after your top up?
