25 year old looking for advice

Hi all, first time posting so apologies if I do get anything wrong.

I'm 25 and have had a receding hairline for aslong as I can remember - between a 2 and 3 on the Norwood scale (closer to a 3). I haven't tried using any medication like Minoxidil or Finesteride as I dont seem to be receding further or suffering any other hair loss.

I've been looking into an FUE transplant for a while now and have had a couple of consultations, both of which said I would be an excellent candidate for a transplant as I have good donor areas, although the last consultation suggested I had quite thin hair at the front. Been told that I would need roughly 1800 grafts.

Doctors I am considering are Dr Krishnan, Bisanga, Ferreira and Mwamba.

I am very cautious and find it very difficult to trust everything I'm told at the consultations and so am really looking for advice. Should I try any topical medications before a transplant? Are there drawbacks to getting a transplant at this age? Are the doctors I am considering good choices or does anyone have any better recommendations?

you have any pics? but at 25 personally I would not do it for just a receding hairline.or you may have to play catch up for a while

At 25 your hair loss may still progress further even though you think it has stopped. Catch up means if you have a HT, then continue losing hair you`ll require more surgery to catch up with the hair loss. So, it is a risk you should know about before deciding on surgery. It`s possible you won’t lose that much hair in the future but you never know. In my opinion it is best to try the hair loss medications first. See if you’re a good responder or if you have sides.
1800 would be a decent number of grafts to improve your hairline and temple corners.

Been the same since I was a kid really. Only change is a bit of thinning of the hair at the front

As I said somewhere else, Bryan Cranston's hairline receded when he was young, but it has since remained stable for over four decades, whereas James Spader maintained a full head of hair until he was in his forties, but is now effectively bald. Go figure. The most important thing is maintain the hair you already have (this is were medications are the most effective) rather than trying to regain what you've lost at a later date (a salmon returning to its spawning grounds faces a less daunting prospect.)

Really? I don't want to start an argument, but here he is in 2002 (aged 42):

His hair looks pretty solid to me, but perhaps you disagree.

Either way, I don't want to argue or divert this thread away from its point.

I know how you feel mine were the same at 25 but you need to get on medication to keep the hair you have. Once it is stable and you are a bit older you should be able to replace those temples pretty easy but if it gets worse without medication then it is a lot more difficult.

You should start Gene therapy using :
