Hello, this Andrew Has from US. Wanted to share a short story of my journey here as I know there as some of you that been into this field for a long time. Any comment would be appreciated.

I have decided to get my hair done about a year ago and was looking into clinics in Istanbul as I was on a tight budget to be honest. Got some recommendations from some friends and got quotes from these clinics. Norwood was the most affordable and seemed decent.

Got quoted 1300 euro for 2800 grafts for the package including accommodation and transportation. I had to buy my flight tickets which was okay. Stayed there for 3 days and had my transplant done on the second. Careful examination and planning by the specialist before starting which was reassuring. It took around 5.5 hours to get it done. Very easy and comfortable than I have imagined. Last day, I had my check up and first washing by the specialist. Was given detailed instructions before I went to the airport.

The hardest part for me was the waiting. Got super anxious during this process as it takes time to see what you have dreamed of. Now, I am at my 6th month mark and I think everything went as planned.

Thank you! Any recommendations for further hair loss? I am currently on hair vitamins
Yes, don't lose any ;-)

Hair vitamins may be useful if you're deficient in vitamins in your diet, but are generally a placebo for most.

There is generally one way of slowing down hair loss and that's to inhibit DHT. The go-to drug for that is finesteride. If you can tolerate it, I'd highly recommend you consider taking it.

After that, it's minoxidyl (topical or oral).

If you can't take either, you're into the realms of unproven solutions. People swear by Saw Palmetto as a less effective DHT inhibitor or biotin.

Thanks for the advices. Haven't seen any signs of any hair loss in other areas so far but I want to be prepared for it :)

That's the challenge - you can suffer miniaturisation and you'll still have decent coverage until the hairs shrink significantly.

As you know, it's a progressive situation so you could start to lose hair behind the area you had transplanted which would lead to an unnatural look. Drugs like finesteride would potentially slow/stop that.

However, it's unusual to reverse the process and therefore good to get ahead of it rather than waiting to see the effects.
