4 week recovery update - Doctor Ozlem Bicer

Just a quick update on my recovery progress.
It’s been an anxious few weeks worrying about my donor area. I didn’t think it was growing at first but thankfully Doctor Bicer's clinic contacted me just at the right time asking for an update and after reviewing my pictures she put my mind at ease. Donor is recovering slowly but I can tell now it is starting to grow. A lot of the transplanted hair from the front and crown area has started to fall.

My head still seems to be very pink especially after showering so I have started to use aloe Vera gel to try and help calm that down.

I’m considering starting to use hair fibres soon because my old FUT scar is really visible and I’d like to try and camouflage it a little until the rest of the hair growth catches up.

I’d be interested to know if anybody reading this post has any suggestions about using fibres at this stage or any other tips for trying to hide my FUT scar.

I’d like to go out soon without a hat glued to my head.

Everything looks to be healing fine.
It`s good to hear the clinic made contact and reassured you everything was fine.
Fibre wise I used DermMatch on my FUT scar, it worked very well. You gently rub it on the scar and surrounding skin with a sponge applicator. It colours the scalp and sticks to the bottom of the hair shaft giving a good camouflage.

Thanks for the reply. I think i will give DermMatch a try, it sounds like it should work well. Cheers

It worked really well for me. There's a nanogen spray that looks decent but I've net used it. I don't need products now so I don't try them.
You could look in the women's section of hair care products as they have a lot of root touch up applicators which work in a very similar way and they are quite cheap. They usually have testers too but not sure if still available due to Covid.
