Believe I was a Norwood 2-3 got 5K grafts done, wonder what do you guys think, how will it turn out? As you can see donor was very strong and the hair is very thick.
Any questions just ask, I’ll answer.

5000 grafts seems a lot when looking at your pre op pictures. From them, it looks as though you just have receding temples and possibly a more mature hairline height.
Did you have thinning throughout the frontal 2 thirds of your head? If so, your hair characteristics disguised it well. If you do have thinning throughout, are you on any hair loss prevention regimen?

Thing is the middle was still thick but I had hit my head on a ceiling about four years ago and I lose some density as I had to get staples and stitches but with the hair loss we couldn’t tell if it was thinning due to hair loss or due to the accident I had so just to be on the safe side they covered it. But yea initially when I first talked to them they was just gonna restore my hairline and temples and only do 3k grafts

In my opinion, you did not need those grafts in the middle but that`s me going by your pictures. Were you charged extra for the 2000 grafts?
Are you using any hair loss meds?
Who did your surgery, the doctor or techs?

Yes again I don’t think I needed them either but just to play it safe we did it anyways originally it was gonna only be 3k grafts to bring my hairline back and lower and to get my temples back as well. And I went to Asli Tarcan

I was asking who performed the surgery. Was it Dr Tarcan or techs?
When you say play it safe, safe against what? Your density already looked decent.
What about meds? Are you using any?

I think they only use techs at Asli.

Yes they gave me meds at Asli to take

Play it safe meaning we didn’t know for sure if my middle was going or not due to the accident so we covered it just in case. My donor area I was never worried about because again my hair grows extremely fast and is very thick, they cut me bald a week ago and look at my donor already today

I doubt your accident 4 years ago would cause any hair loss now. Was it the doctor or the techs who said you should have grafts placed in the middle?
Did they charge extra for these grafts?
Was it hair loss prevention meds they supplied you?
Your donor seems to be recovering quickly. Buzzing your nape and surrounding area would help blend it in more.

Apologies for all the questions, just trying to get a clear picture of your surgery and situation.

No ask all you want lol I have no problem answering anything that’s what I posted for.

The thing is it was thinner than the rest of my other areas and we didn’t know if it would continue to thin and vanish all the way to the top so that’s why they put grafts in the middle even though deep down I don’t think it would’ve reached that far back,it was both my decision and the techs.

No I got a flat rate of $1700 for 5K grafts

No,no hair loss prevention meds just antibiotics, shampoo and things like that.

Yes that’s the only reason I allowed them to take more grafts because I know how my hair grows and I knew it would recover and grow back quickly

If they think you were at risk of losing more hair then you should check into Finasteride to retain or slow down any future loss. Even transplanted grafts can be lost to DHT.
$1700 is a very cheap price.
All you can do now is wait for the growth.
I do hope you keep the forum updated with your progress.
All the best.

Yes I may check into that but I will wait and see how this procedure plays out.

They have since went up on their price and now charge a flat rate of 2500,they are extremely popular and busy I do expect them to keep raising their prices.

I will update this thread about once a month with results

You do find that clinics will offer a cheaper price and then increase once they`re in demand.
I`ll look forward to your updates.
Heal and grow well.

Everything looks on track for 12 days post op. The donor should start recovering with your native B sir growing back.

You're on track! The sides and back have healed nicely

Next 2 months, the hair will probably look bad (like it did for most of us) . It can be a difficult period when youre hair line looks uneven and the shedding happens, but stay strong during the next few weeks.

But so far so good!
