7% minoxidil from Dr Reddy versus the 12.5% minoxidil paste from Belgravia Centre

Hi

I've used the Belgravia centre minoxidil for six years now - 5% 'liquid' droplets in the morning and 12.5% paste in the evening.

I met Dr Reddy who advised that I move onto his combination therapy of topical finasteride and minoxidil, which is 7% minoxidil. Since this is lower strength than the 12.5% Belgravia paste, might I find that I go backwards because it's lower strength? Dr Reddy said no more than 7% is needed. Is this right?

As a layperson it's tempting to think higher strength equals better results.

Incidentally, Dr Reddy's advice was to take finasteride orally every other day alongside the topical finasteride and minoxidil combination.

Thanks for your opinions.

I do not know about the percentages and strengths but I think I am right in saying most people think Finasteride is the better treatment.

Finasteride is the primary hair medication as far as I am aware .
