Hi guys, i've been reading the forums and posts about all the HT, but i'm looking to find out where in your opinion is the best place to get it done?

I don't mind travelling, and of course money isn't an issue if its to restore my hairline.
I'm 29 and started ro lose my hair since i was 23, i;ve been using conciler for years, and managed to hide it quite well. I started propecia, but had major side effects so came off it, like everyone on here i've had enough! I've booked a consultation with Harley Street in London, as i live in Scotland, i want to get an idea what i'm up againt from a professional, they advised i can meet the surgeon aswell.

I keep hearing about a clinic in Belguim, can someone let me know where this is? maybe a website link, name of the surgeon etc..

Anyones help would be amazing, i want to tackle this, and be happy again!

THanks

Hi Noel,

Look in the doctors section on this site for Dr Bisanga, Dr. DeVroye, Dr. Feriduni, Dr. Mwamba, and Prohair clinic. They all work in Belgium and all do great work. You should be able to find their contact details in their section. Research for your self each doctor and consult with all of them. Good luck.

The other thread that you asked me a question on is an old thread that should be gone by now, so didn't answer on there.
I am however very happy to answer on here now that you have started your own thread. I personally wouldn't go to Harley Street even for a consultation as I think it' a waste of time.
The clinic that I went to in Brussels is BHR and the Dr is Dr Bisanga, and I highly recommend them, do you have any pics of your hairline that we can look at?

cheers sparky, wish i spoke to you yesterday, i've booked travel to london now, so i'm going to go and get a consultation, i've been checking through the belgium doctors, i'm going to speak to Dr. B. Feriduni & - Dr. Bisanga, they both look really good, based on my online consultation HS have advised i'd need 2 sessions, about 1700-2000 grafts costing about £6000. they asked me start using regaine foam aswell. I'm really wanting to get a good job and restore my hairline, let me know what you think of my pic

Hi Noel,
When I looked at your picture I thought that you are the patient we are treating currenlty. His hairloss is very very similar.
I will ask him if we can post his post treatment pictures here (2600 FUE grafts)

Greetz,

Bart

Well, travel there and see what they have to say, one word of warning, don't book anything with them on the day that you see them, don't give them a deposit, always go away and think about it. They may have slick salesmen who convince you to book with them, there's no need to book straight away.

yeah i don't intend to pay anything out on that day, i really want to try and understand what level i'm at, and what can be achieved. prices etc..

I've emailed the belgium clinics, so wait and see what they have to say, thanks again for replys, its nice to have someone to speak to about this, and gain advice.

Harley Street is just a name, you could have the worlds best HT doctor and the worlds worst right next door to each other.

As well as consulting with the Belgium clinics you could consult with the Farjo clinic in Manchester.

Theres also other European clinics such as Hattingen and HDC, take a look at the various doctors sections and consult with as many as you feel it takes.

Hi noel1981,

The amount of grafts required to achieve your goals depends on the design of the hairline that you will choose to go ahead with. Fewer grafts are required the more conservative the hairline is designed. Below you can see a patient result that we have used 2500 grafts and then another patient with 1500 grafts.

I will be holding our next free consultations in our Central London office on the 23[suP]rd[/suP]-27[suP]th[/suP] May 2011 and you are more than welcomed to attend in order to make an accurate estimation.

Warmest Regards

Alex
