hi I've been on propecia for about 3 years now , without it I'd be a lot worse , ( no sides either to mention) I been looking for a long time now at clinics, I've paid a visit to farjos , the work I've seen from HDC I quite like , I think I may need about 2500 graphs , and I'd prefer fue , I'd like to know your thoughts , I'd say the photos are pretty accurate to what I feel is the level of my hair loss , but I'd imagine like most you see it better than it is , I've got really thick hair to the sides and back, so hopefully that will be a major thing, I've looked at clinics in uk but was not impressed , although the ones I did like the look of seem very expensive( Glasgow clinic) and a few more , so any advise please would help me on my path to a successful hairline , cheers

I'd guess at the 2500 area too maybe a little higher. Is this the amount you've been quoted by clinics? Your donor does look good so I think getting that many or more wouldn't be a problem. It's good to hear you think the meds are working as that's a big help.

Try to speak to patients from the clinics you like as they can let you know first hand their experience and what they think of the work.
All the best.

Hi bigmac
Thanks for your response, good to know that I was pretty accurate with the transplant count ,just wondered what's your thoughts on frontal transplants ,is there only a handful of clinics that would be classed as good ,as in results ,do you think that uk clinics are not so good ,Glasgow look good just expensive I'm lost to why they would charge as much as some long standing clinics that have proven Sucsess . I'm gunna contact a few guys on here to share there thoughts , how do you go about meeting someone with a transplant to look at in the flesh so to speak .

Paddyman take a look at this result from Bhr Clinic with 2500 grafts. His pre operative situation is very similar to your own.

paddyman2, would it be possible to share another top shot with wet hair and combing back? It would be a good picture to see the area of your hairloss.

What is your goal in terms of hairline design?

Kind regards,

I've attached 2 x photos wet the first one is with a halogen light shining directly down on the head , the second one is in normal room conditions as to which I believe is a normal sort of view(I think ) The result you posted looks awesome , but I've never seen a transplant in the flesh , so I suppose it's hard to gauge its realism if that's the word, I guessed at 2500 implants as to the research I had done,I guess I would be the type of person where if it did not look natural it would be just acceptance to me ,I'm hoping to do this at the back end of next year so the research starts now , thanks for your reply I really appreciate you taking a look and offering your expert advice , as I have read a few articles and posts and believe you guys to a very credited clinic
Cheers p2

Hi paddyman2,

Thank you very much for the new pictures. I forgot to ask you about your age and hairloss in the family.

But yes, assuming your donor area is alright, probably something around 2500 FU and being not aggressive in the design, could cover the area.

Hope that can help you. If you have any question do not hesitate to contact us or send me a PM.

Warm regards,

Yeah I'm 48 now , hair loss in the family is not bad really my dad and grandad had full hairlines I've been steadily receding since I was early 20s , so hairloss has been slow and painfull , meaning always struggling for a hairstyle ,I know I'm not going to get a full head of hair but something to style and look believable would be the aim
How good would you precise 2500'graths to look

There are lots of good clinics around, check out the results on here and decide who you like. To meet patients you can ask the clinic if they have any who are willing or you can ask people on here either on their threads or via private message.

I consulted with Stephen from BHR, patient results and testimonials helped me, I'll probably go with BHR Clinic towards the end of this year. Its a tough choice between clinics, so many decent ones available now.

Hi Paddyman, I'm booking a November surgery with BHR. I have been advised to book around July to guarantee my slot.
