Results 2420 Grafts, 5175 hair follicles implanted. Surgery started at 9am finished 4.20pm, anesthetist first then extractions of the donor until 11.30am, Dr Karanediz came into the room and we went through the hair design, I said about side parting from left combing to the right side, later humps filled in I did say more on the left than right. He did say didn't really like chasing the lateral sides down but he did do it for me, he also added more density to the front and some closing of the temples plus crown area which was the most bald area, Dr K then explained to the two girl surgeons what needed doing, they worked on me all day and a third girl did some work later in the day as well. FUE incisions started at around 12pm I opted not to have lunch and just continue, implants were implanted after a ten minute break at 1.30pm, the grafts were only out 25 mins then implanted. I did have the relaxing nitrous oxide which helps it wasn't too bad at all, I guess I'm a hair transplant veteran. Pre-op & Post-op Pictures attached feedback welcome.

Your surgery plan is what I would have opted for if in your position. I like that the hairline has been strengthened, laterals connected more and then placing further back towards the crown. I think this was the best use of the grafts and will make the most impact for you. If you do decide on a third surgery, then you can go for beard to add density in the crown area.
Placement and extractions look nice and clean. Hopefully, the grafts continue to grow seeing that they were only outside your body for 25 minutes. If not, it’ll be the usual process that you’ve already been through.
Is the weather quite hot? You’re still staying there for a holiday?
All the best.

I never asked before are you a HT surgeon. I'm very pleased with my hair transplant the procedure went very well, very professional staff at AEK. Attached are my own pictures in HD from my new phone, they are more clear, I had a lot of time speaking to Dr K even the next day, a good man. Weather good today fairly warm, Kadikoy is a good place to stay, here for another week it's the wife's birthday so making a bit of a holiday. Best wishes John.

The areas look very clean with no signs of swelling yet.
Be careful in the Sun, keep those grafts safe.
I’m not a doctor but do attend a lot of international conferences for the purpose of educating myself which I then pass on to patients etc. I often speak with Dr Karadeniz at these events. He is always very pleasant and enjoys a good catch up with me.
Enjoy your time there and happy birthday to your wife. It’s a great way to recuperate after a HT.

Did you have any swelling? You would be fine wearing some big sunglasses with you staying over there on holiday. I agree with BM that it looks clean neat work that I think will heal up back to your normal look quickly. Slightly off topic now. Is everything better value right now with the Lira being weak?

Hello Kevboy, I had some swelling the first 3 days but it was very little, the 4th day I removed the head band as it was no longer needed. It's healing good, the Turkish Lira is 18.88 to the pound I have seen 19 to the pound exchange rate over here in Kadikoy Istanbul, eating out in restaurants are very cheap also shopping. I though about some sunglasses but it's going to be colder this week.

Hello,
I'm now on the 11th day since my hair transplant from AEK in Istanbul. Over the past couple of days all the soreness of the scalp has now gone away, plus scabs on scalp almost completely removed through a very soft delicate circular motion technique when the shampoo is applied over the scalp.

The moisturiser cream which I have been applying from the clinic has helped soften the scabs one hour before using shampoo, it certainly loosens the scabs! You can also use B5 Panthenol for this as well, I tried some the other day it does the same thing. Pictures from today attached.

So you didn’t have any swelling by the looks of it. Healing looks to be going very well. It won’t be long before you’re back to your prep-op status.
