Are there any products that work that prolong the Anagen phase?

I was reading an article somewhere about a product that is apparently big in Italy that is supposed to prolong the Anagen phase...... it's said to be particularly effective for telogen effluvium. Are there any products that have scientific data to back them up? According to the makers of the product i read about they said it had been clinically trialled?
I will try and find the article and the name of the product. Has anyone else heard of something like this or tried such a product?
